    Tractor lots are full

This was my feeling exactly last year. I'm very lucky. Due to some issues with Whites Farm supply in Canastota NY taking in my Kubota L3560 for service at about 250 hours... We'll long story short they crashed the tractor, damaging it for about $6000. Mostly cosmetic. Of course they said it...

Do I really need a tractor on 1.5 acres?

I agree with most. I have 3/4 acre with our property. I have a Kubota 3560 with cab. 9' Backhoe, man lift, 72" finish mower, and several other attachments. But do I really need a 35hp tractor with cab? Yes. I prep firewood not from my property. So I cut and pull and haul, and manage...

    Another backhoe question

Willy, I believe you are right on. IMO, those who can or will eventually purchase some kind of equipment, it's imperative to do due diligence when building a machine (if considering new) or determining long term use (even if purchasing used). That decision can determine how creative and...

    Another backhoe question

One of the first experiences I had with my backhoe on the Kubota (4 months in) was finding a 750 gallon empty oil tank buried about 2 ft under the driveway i was building. It was a surprise for sure but dug and pulled it out with NO issues. I was amazed that I could run into such a project...

    Another backhoe question

Wow... I paid 52,500 for a Kubota 3560 with backhoe and none of the other stuff. So that's about $3000 difference minus the other goodies.. With those added back in it's about $11,000 difference. That's a lot of tractor for $49,700 (if I include the Backhoe at $10,000) Sweet deal. Who's...

    Expected Depreciation in Used Tractors?

And now this, showing the move has begun in other durable goods... "Stellantis, which manufactures the Jeep Cherokee SUV, announced on 9 December the closure of an Illinois plant resulting in more than 1,200 workers being laid off by the end of February 2023. It cited increasing costs of...

    Expected Depreciation in Used Tractors?

Hey Big, These are un charted waters here. Entering into recessionary territory will bring uncertainty in many things. With inflationary control comes the dive into lower Sales of everything from comfort food to comfort cars, homes, and even tractors. I stopped into Tractor Supply last...

    Expected Depreciation in Used Tractors?

I agree, and a very interesting thread. 1- "I sold it after 5 years and got what I paid for it!" 2- "Used tractors generally have better price structure" 3- "New tractors have a warranty" First, at 2%/yr inflation average for the "I got what I paid for it" crew basically says that you would...

Anybody using a backhoe attachment on their CUT?

Talk about dragging the belly... I drove my new 3560 HSTC cab off the lot and loaded it on a trailer furnished (reluctantly) by the dealership. I had mentioned to the salesperson that the bottom of the backhoe would definitely hit the ground taking it up the ramp driving forward. He said "ahh...

Anybody using a backhoe attachment on their CUT?

Everyone has such individual needs and requirements. I can't imagine, as a manufacturer, how to decide what to have and not have as options or functionality.

    Backhoe Thumb hand control

This is really awesome work. It's something that engineers would do fir their design and updates to the product they are working on if they were allowed to have fun at work. It compared well to the GoPro cameras I use for my YouTube channel. They have regular firmware that's tried and true...

Anybody using a backhoe attachment on their CUT?

John, do you have the same setup as I do? On the Kubota, there is an issue with clearance of the top and tilt hydraulic cylinders with the backhoe subframe. Those will hit each other at certain points in extension. (I'm told)
