Need advice on a machine to manage timberland

If its steep. I would look into some sort of track machine. Especially with timber. You can learn how to operate. Watch videos, take ur time. Tractor is going to be the easiest to operate but in my opinion with how much you have to keep up with. Track is the way to go.

    Low hour used tractors

Coming from a farming back ground and construction equipment operator. The biggest concern for me with the popularity of smaller tractors taking off. IS that homeowners don't check their equipment properly. As well as using it in a manner that creates stress points and possible failures down...

    Do you grease/maintain borrowed equipment?

thats a good rule of thumb but sadly thats few and far between. I have a buddy that I loaned my tractor to. I left my trailer on his property. His dog at some wiring and pulled 2 running lights. To my surprised my main lights all still worked as well as my trailer brakes. He paid me more...

Newb with questions looking for guidance

I would rent an excavator if you can operate one. Much easier to clear trees with for the area of the house. Cut in the driveway if you have time to. Its exactly what I did. I removed stumps, de limbed and put that in a pile. Cut the trees into 10 ft logs for easy processing for firewood or...

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

Well I wouldn't trust it. For that reason I will probably never go to EV. As im 50 maybe in the next decade the technology is better. Charging is more streamlined. More plentiful. Im glad you like it and had no issues traveling. Some people love them. Some people go back to ice.

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

IN the sense you aren't going to take an EV on vacation. Or if you drive several hundred miles for your job. You won't be using an EV. The infrastructure needs to come around. I think everyone agrees with that. The hang up is where does the money come from b/c right not there isn't any way...

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

The only Manufacturer making money on EVs is Tesla. It took them 13 years turn a profit. In my eyes 13 years of losses doesn't mean the company as a whole is profitable. Brand recognition has really helped Tesla stay a float. I hope you are right about EVs being a Stop Gap but if you look...

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

Yea I have heard people over paying for brakes as well. I do that sort of stuff myself but there have been times where I didnt have the ability. So I went to midas. Keep in mind this 15 year ago. Maybe more. But they wanted 600 for front brakes. I asked him to print off the line item for...

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

Well that is refreshing to hear. To be honest the sales person that I talked to buying my tractor was really easy to get along with. The deal didnt take long at all. Sadly they are moving to small engines and mowing. They are getting out of the tractor sales business. He said their numbers...

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

Dont get me wrong when it comes to sales people. I have walked out. You can tell the ones that dont want to sell you a car or negotiate the price. From what I can tell IM typically getting pretty good deals. Ive purchased out of state before and honestly that seems to go smoother. Other...

Purchasing a Kubota L series. Advice on negotiating?

I Certainly wish it was like you are saying. Now I enjoy good bantering back in forth. All the times I have gone through the finance department. That seems like it takes awhile even after everything has been agreed upon. I believe I was i there for an hour but we were also talking. Total...
