    SURPRISE!

This day and age, people will lie for no reason at all.

Need older tractor recommendations for round baling.

I've always wondered about how much freight for something like that would add to the cost of the machine. I used to drive 18's, but have no idea how much they charged the customer in most cases.

Thanks for that. I hadn't really considered that part. I've never run a diskbine before either. All of my experience has been with swather/conditioners and small square balers.

Another I've talked to recommended something like that, but it was a different brand... Versatile. But, when I looked at prices for those, most of them were overpowered for my needs and cost a lot more. The ones that seemed within my budget were a LONG ways from Oklahoma. Family issues and ranch...

Need older tractor recommendations for round baling.

I guess I'm in a good position. Both of the neighbors I've talked to have offered their tractors (JD 4020 and JD4640) to use until I find a "good deal". Like I said though, the pressure on me to buy comes from myself. I don't like breaking/repairing stuff that belongs to others. On the other...

5x5 for myself. I have the original Vermeer manual for the baler and they recommended 60 to 70 hp. They also recommended against too much hp, although i dont recall them saying what too much was. Just a note to everyone… if i say something, its to the best of my knowledge and ability. So, i...

The JD 3020 and 4020 are high on my list at this point. Some of my neighbors have also mentioned them. But, im ofan open mind.

Terrain is Oklahoma flat where I’ll be baling. Less than 6 foot drop in 1/2 mile. Wet is a problem this year, but not usually. I’d like to be able to stack, but it’s definitely not high on the priority list. Shouldn’t be baling more than about 90 acres, tops. Yield varies greatly. I got 37 bales...

Need older tractor recommendations for round baling.

I currently own a Kubota L2800, which obviously doesn't have enough horsepower for round baling. My partner in the round baling equipment has a JD 4640 that I can use to run the equipment that we own together. But, I just don't like borrowing and possibly breaking somebody else's stuff. So, I'm...

    Apologies.

    3 point hitch issue

True. He'd mentioned that it seemed be between 12 and 13 mm. So, I guessed 1/2 inch. If I'd read further, he said it turned out to be 12 mm with a hefty coat of paint.

    Would You Loan It Out?

If a man cant be trusted to pay 50 dollars for a job well done, what are the chances he'll pay the damage to your equipment, that is almost certainly going to cost much more? I have a neighbor down the road that collects equipment and I have sometimes borrowed it if I believed I could operate...

    Battery powered chainsaw

I have a Dewalt 60V and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I used it to clear saplings from a neglected fenceline before I re-fenced it. I got great battery life and saved a lot of elbow grease since it was a lot of start and stop. I also used it to help a neighbor with a large fallen cedar tree...

Sick of Paying Tractor Part Prices.... Make Your Own....(3D Printed)

I built my first 3d printer about two years ago for about 250 after everything. I’d say I’ve broken even by now, not just in replacement parts but also in parts that just don’t exist. With that said, i also invested a lot of time in learning 3d modeling and how to 3d print. So it’s not for...
