Thanks for the reply--I'll try shifting pto while I'm in neutral, different rpms and see if it acts different. It runs smooth, no complaints there, just the engagement that is catchy. Watched a bunch of PTO rebuild videos trying to get a mental image of its guts.

I've noticed lately the PTO gear 1 on this MT372 needs some babying to engage. Usually just have to double clutch, or do a clutch--roll off the brake an inch--slot into gear type maneuver to get there. Sometimes wants to click in rough, but sometimes I get it just right and goes in smooth. PTO...

Thanks for the replies. I will budget the new tires in the next month or two, and take the ag rear, turf front route. Piloon, hope you're able to keep finding those tires. Odd how tire scarcity makes whole tractors obsolete before their time on some of these models.

I've finally determined the grease fitting size on the MT372 steering kingpin grease point: 1/8" BSPT (British Std Pipe - Tapered). After fighting forever with M10x1 and 1/8" NPT, I gave these a try and sure enough they're exact. I haven't tried to replace any of the others since the rest are...
