Hello everyone I do have some updates unfortunately they're quite unpleasant. First of all I took the tractor back to the repairing dealer several weeks ago. They finally got to work on it about a week ago and struggled of course to get the clanging to happen until they decided to start it up...
Ok, I am pretty sure it is the main hydraulic pump...can someone tell me where that is located on the tractor?
It occurred to me that while I can now hear it a tiny bit when stationary and idling, or stationary and adjusthing the throttle any time is happens "loud" hydralics are being...
Good point Clover....very fortunate we decided to pull the front axle apart while looking for the current problem. that could have been disastrous from an injury standpoint.

After months and months the parts finally showed up...for the bad wheel hub. My dad was finally able to use the tractor today to clear some brush. It is heartbreaking in one way, as his condition has declined to the point he can only...
I was looking at LS until I started digging into all the ECM issues and how poorly they are responding to them...LS basically doesn't...they tell you a regen every hour is "normal" and screwed up ECU are constantly denied warranty claims.
Thanks everyone. Finally figured it out...the manuals are of no help. Turn the chute over and carefully look at the bottom...then look at the ring...you have to "slide" the chute on from the front to get the lip to catch under the plastic AND metal ring of the blower.
