    New 2025 B2601 vs used B2601

It will be fun for you enjoying the new tractor. Maintenance records are easy to keep when starting fresh. So easy to remember to grease the loader every 10 hours ... 10, 20, 30, etc and 50 for changing filters the first time ... enjoy!

    New 2025 B2601 vs used B2601

You will be so happy with this decision, for year's to come. Worth every penny spent for brand new!

    New 2025 B2601 vs used B2601

I would spend the money and buy the new one. If you take good care of it, you will be happier with spanking new everything and knowing it will last a lifetime.

    Brush hog slip clutch

It should be an annual event called "running in the clutch" The metal discs fuse together and need to be slipped to clean their surfaces to be sure they slip like they should or the results will be damage to the clutch.

    Tractor Diesel Fuel Additive

I store my diesel in 5gal cans. I always keep the tractor full of fuel also, and have had no problems so far.

    Tractor Diesel Fuel Additive

If one uses Howes for example like I do, is it ok to also add the biocide on a normal fill with fuel? I've never used the biocide and don't want to deal with the problems it could cause. Just concerned about adding too many things to the fuel and causing problems too.

Big Boar! Tractor was Useful During Hunting Season

Thanks for the information on the wild pig meat. We don't have wild pigs here, but domestic farm raised pork is sold locally here by the butcher shops. Never tasted wild pig but live on deer meat mostly.

    58" Tiller on a L2501?

My L2501 HSD has no problem with the land pride RTA 1258 (forward tine rotation). Like others stated, going slow and allowing the tiller to work is key to success. I have heavy soil and have no problems. If new ground, start shallow and increase depth once the soil is broken.

    Identify tree via bark?

Nice quality lumber trees and the oaks are suited for veneer logs and valuable. I would contact a forester, not a logger, they are two different strokes. The forester can tell you if they can be sold for lumber. They will remove the trees and deliver them to the best mills. Take the money and...

    New L2501

X2 on a great tractor selection. Amazing how much work they can perform. Nice part is they even love to idle without problems.

    LS or Kubota

Hands down go with Kubota. You will be happy that you spent the few extra bucks for quality and dependability.

    No more 'treadle pedal'

I love the treadle pedal on my tractor and hate the JD I have to drive when I volunteer to cut grass at the Church camp. Every tractor should have a treadle pedal. The World would be a better place.

Current pricing L2501 and transmission choice

The holes are in the fender with tape across them. Simply buy the handle with the hardware from Kubota and add it on. Not having it on the tractor saves folks that don't need it or want it (like me) $50.00.
