Does anyone have an easy way to remove snow from equipment after use

Here's my setup, it works pretty good. 2 plastic mortar pans and a couple of wood blocks, a gutter scoop and broom that I clean as much as possible before bringing in to my heated garage. The pans catch most of the water. I just have to mop up a small puddle usually. If it's above freezing, I...

    2025r SCV valve suddenly stiff

2019 2025r. The SCV valve for the raise and lower function is suddenly very stiff. It loosens a little as it warms up, but is still stiffer than normal. The curl function has the normal resistance. It feels like maybe an o-ring that has swelled or gotten out of a groove. I tried spraying with...

    Cleaning lawn of branches

I use this pooper scooper and a wheeled trash can to pick up sticks. I also use a front mounted dethacher that works pretty well.

Do I really need a tractor on 1.5 acres?

You need that tractor!.... In 1976 we bought our first home on 1 acre, 1/2 acre of lawn. The next year I bought a 16 hp. Wheelhorse 8-speed garden tractor with a 48" mower deck and 48" plow which served me well for the next 34 years. Especially during the blizzard of 1978 when we had 3' of snow...

    JD 2210 mowing issue

It sounds to me, since it comes right back up after disengaging the MMM, that it is a problem with the MMM, such as a seizing bearing as it heats up. I would try turning the mower by hand prior to mowing, and then see if you can still turn it when the rpms drop. Or, check the temperature of the...

Can I just pour cement in ballast box and add water.

All done! 8-50# bags of pea stone. used the drive over bracket from my mower deck after I installed the lock n’go to hang some suitcase weights if ever needed(I doubt it). 2-2” PVC tool holders Ready for action!

Can I just pour cement in ballast box and add water.

OK, I went with 6 50# bags of pea stone. Looks like I can fit 2 more. I think I'll bolt a bracket to the back of the box to hang some suitcase weights on also. Ill keep my chains and stuff in the 9" extension tool box. Thanks for the responses.

Can I just pour cement in ballast box and add water.

I read somewhere that the water adds weight and can’t completely evaporate because it can’t escape once the concrete hardens. Any truth to that? Of course, water only weighs about 7.5 pounds per gallon and I suppose I won’t need more than a gallon, so your idea about future removal sounds good...

Can I just pour cement in ballast box and add water.

Just upgraded to a 2018 2025R with a ballast box. My 2004 2210 went to my son. I added the 9” extension which I am going to use as a tool box to store chains etc. or fill with removable weight if needed. I am going to fill the original box with concrete. Can I just dump the bags in the box...

Where can I check serial number prior to purchase.

Yeah, we’re going to keep looking. He‘s contracted the plowing for his home and business for this year, so we’ll wait for a good package deal that fits his needs better. Missed out on two deals just today. They’re asking $21k, and the dealer quoted around $24k for a new one. The backhoe could...
