The tractor still has both filters; the original small secondary is mounted up next to the engine. I believe the fuel goes through the primary, then back through the fuel pump (which is indeed mounted under the tractor), then to the secondary. All it takes to get this thing running again is to...
I have the Bota products primary fuel filter on this tractor which has been on there almost since new, about five years. I believe the filter is interchangeable with the one on an L, but I'm not sure. It has a visible filter housing in addition to being much easier to change. At any rate, the...
I'm afraid I'll have to agree with JWR here, and here's why. If you hook your trailer onto a standard rigidly mounted ball without latching it, you could theoretically pull it all over the place as long as there was sufficient tongue weight to keep it there (this isn't something you'd do in...
The subframe hangs off the front and doesn't extend rearwards very much if at all, so that probably wouldn't be an issue. My subframe, originally on my bX1860, wouldn't work with my new BX 2370 due to the longer wheelbase. However, my dealer ordered and installed the parts necessary to make it...
Just unhook the blasted thing. I've had two BX's and those switches are just plain dumb. I fooled with it and fooled with it on the first tractor and disconnected it totally on the second tractor. Made all the difference.
I had an Original with all the bells and whistles and it served me well. I'd recommend getting the glass windshield but if you put a good coat of Rain-X on it you won't need a wiper. I took it completely off in the summer which was kind of a pain. I've since upgraded to a Curtis hard cab...
I'm afraid I have to agree with the others that this may not work out for you. It is MUCH easier to get a tractor already equipped the way you want it than retrofitting it down the road, particularly with an older tractor. Also, a front-mount snowblower is much more complex than a rear mount...
My original post was the price per gallon. I mentioned the price difference to the parts manager and he though perhaps Amazon was trying to recoup shipping costs, who knows. The transmission filter, on the other hand, was $19.06, cough cough.
Time to change the trans fluid on my BX2370....Amazon is selling Super udt2 for $69.96. My local dealer, MB Tractor in Gorham, ME, has it for $26.75. I guess you know what I did. It's not often you come out of a Kubota dealership feeling like you've saved money. :-)
Wow. I waded through all (or, in all honesty, most) of this and it appears to be a Kubota customer who had a legitimate problem who drove the dealer absolutely crazy with his obsession with detail and minutae. No winners here.
