I’m trying to determine the function of this knob in my 2006 Kubota L3400 HST tractor. Near the floor board goes into the transmission. I would appreciate any advice that can explain its function, application, etc.

Thanks for the advice, return line was removed with ease and the service was complete. My L3400 has a glass sight window to see the oil volume. I do not believe there is an actual dip stick.

One more question, will the return line leak oil once removed? If so how do I stop it while changing/ adding new oil?

New to the chat. My 2006 Kubota Transmission fill port has a hydraulic return line attached to it. How do I fill the transmission with fluid when I’m changing the fluid? Any advice would be appreciated
