New to the chat.

My 2006 Kubota Transmission fill port has a hydraulic return line attached to it. How do I fill the transmission with fluid when I’m changing the fluid?

Any advice would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

Just loosen that smaller nut, it will swivel, then loosen and pull the fill cap out. Or you can disconnect the hose entirely, if it makes it easier.

One more question, will the return line leak oil once removed? If so how do I stop it while changing/ adding new oil?

It will leak a little bit, just some residual oil inside the line. Not much at all. Wrap a rag around or something.

Should not flow out when tractor is off. If you have the length, tie it up in the air so it's the highest point in the system.

On our Kubota the transmission fluid dipstick seals that port being used for your return line. Does yours have the dipstick somewhere else?

Thanks for the advice, return line was removed with ease and the service was complete.

My L3400 has a glass sight window to see the oil volume. I do not believe there is an actual dip stick.
