    Massey 65 diesel running rough

You see what I meant by shop work being suspect? That might not be the reason for your current problem, but that doesn't make it right.

Kubota L5030 leaking oil from behind front axle case

I'm no authority on that particular tractor, but having done that same repair on plenty of others I'd say it's PROBABLY a pretty straight forward project. Yes, just a seal that comes out the front. However, if I were doing it, before ordering the seal I would crawl under and try shaking the...

    John Deere 950

It's not the oil. You're on track thinking clutch. Classic case of a slipping clutch. Does the pedal have any free play? I'm guessing not, but just guessing. Try adjusting that first and see what that gains you. Quite often there is still some life left in the clutch when this happens but not...

Splitting my Zetor 6245...again. Need advice.

No, it's still nosed up against the tree.

    JD 5105 not staying primed

https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/4367/referrer/navigation/pgId/3011063 Does this look like what you have? If so, a few things come to mind. Filter (item 29) first on the list. Next, how full is the tank when this is happening? The hand primer pump? Have you opened that...

    Massey 65 diesel running rough

You're sure it's an AD4.203 and not an A4.203? The D series is direct injection, the other is indirect injection with energy cells in the head. They use different injector nozzles and different pump settings. If it's an A4 engine it could have a bad energy cell that can cause what you describe...

    JD 1050 hydraulics

What John Deere (or Yanmar for that matter) requires is one thing, but what actually happens in the real world may be different. My experience shows that suction hoses collapse in operation mainly for two reasons. 1) The hose is too soft or too thin. 2) The vacuum created by the pump is too...

    JD 1050 hydraulics

A lot of "this and that" to sort through here, but what hose is collapsing? For openers, you don't want "heater hose" for oil or fuel. It will soften and fail in short order. Get that off as soon as possible and replace it with fuel/oil resistant hose of the proper size. If the hose material is...

TC240 Lots of white smoke coming out of the road draft tube

I'm saying a properly running diesel engine doesn't have white smoke blowing from the crankcase breather tube after running for two minutes. If indeed that's what you see, the machine has a problem that won't be fixed easily or inexpensively. the number of hours on the clock or the shine in the...

TC240 Lots of white smoke coming out of the road draft tube

If the "road draft tube" is the crankcase breather tube and it's blowing noticeable white smoke from there it has an engine problem. Unless you're ready to dig into it soon you probably should find something else for the boy.

    NH T4050 wiring diagram

Unfortunately the tractor "ain't that simple". I don't think concepts count for much here.

Massey Ferguson 135 input seal replacement

I don't think I've ever used a torque wrench on pressure plate bolts so I won't speak to what they should or shouldn't be torqued to. I use a long handled 3/8 ratchet and tighten them a little at a time until it "feels" right. Have never broken one and don't remember having one come loose later.

Massey Ferguson 135 input seal replacement

The planetary? I don't think so. I think once the transmission is split away from the rear housing you will see the bearing, snap rings ETC involved, but I think the front cover comes off, the small snap ring comes off the shaft and then the shaft can be driven back through the gear and the rear...

    2008 TC40DA loosing power

Seems to me if you had algae in the system you would see some of it with all the lines and such that you've had apart. Something in the tank (or the fuel filter inlet fitting) is likely yes, but algae? When I've found that it's been some black, slimy, sort of stuff. Hard to miss.
