Need some vapor barrier and insulation advice

Yes, the vapor barrier goes on the hot side. Since your inside is likely to be hotter than the outside, the vapor barrier should be on the inside. I guess it is always a balance question. IF you are in a location where it is on average hotter on the outside, the vapor barrier position would be...

    Ideas for repairing radiator? REPAIRED!

I skipped the last three pages of what I assume was reasons why anything you might try would not work. Looks like you came up with a solution, but I did not have the energy to try to understand your long post (maybe only long at my age and short attention span) explaining the solution! Glad it...

    My Brother's Foundry

Can't comment on the choice of beer, because I do not recognize the label. But it surprised me seeing the aluminized protective jacket and I assume a leather apron. BUT no real protection for the face/head...I would have expected to see at least a face shield too. Obviously, a very experienced...

    Cranks but does not start

Wow! Since you know the solution, I would suggest you just install a switch, and turn the switch off when you want to shut the tractor off. Your safety circuits are intact...what do you lose? Seems like a no brainer to me. Then IF you get serious, start troubleshooting the problem yourself...

Sealant or No Sealant, that is the question...

OK, but if one is not sure of his abilities, why would he take the risk. Use something other than Teflon take and sleep well...

    Man I need front fenders

Forgive me if I already asked this question, because every time I see the thread title, I remember the picture. AND I keep wondering... Why did you wash the tractor before taking the picture? :)

    Becareful What You Do....

I don't burn wood for heat, so this is just an educational question. I always heard that around where I live, people do not burn pine, due to creosote, sap, or whatever, being deposited in the chimney and possibly resulting in a chimney fire. Is this just a wife's tale? Seriously, just curious...

    BX23 new rear tires

If you use 4WD, keep in mind that you need to keep the rear/front tire diameter ratio the same as OEM, or close to it. Otherwise, you will be stressing the axle and running gear components more than normal. 2WD all the time no issue. But who uses 2WD all the time? Almost nobody is my guess...

    Becareful What You Do....

Thanks for that. The original photo was not clear as to how this could happen, but the video shows the larger tree barber chaired and caught the loader bucket, and lifted the tractor up off the ground. Actually a believable event. At first look my mind said PHOTOSHOP FOR SURE...but now I do...

    TC45A Solenoid Clicking Issue

You do not even have to change the battery, if you have long arms and a voltmeter. Or someone to try to start the tractor when you are measuring battery voltage. If battery voltage drops significantly when you try to start and get the click, you battery is the issue. Simple as that. If the...

    Regret a cab tractor?

I'll bite. What is an insulated four post canopy? Having trouble seeing the advantage of whatever this may be, although I do know that the canopy will keep the snow off the operator somewhat.

BX22 immediately turns off after start

    1) Start a new thread. People often give up or avoid reading threads that are over ten years old. 2) Your BX likely has a two coil fuel cut off solenoid. One coil is the start coil, and the other is the hold coil. You likely have an issue with the hold coil, also called the run coil. There is a...

Why no 4 wheel drive on roads?

I do not think this is correct. Correct me with specifics. I know both my sub compact and compact tractors do not have locked front differentials...

failed locking pin on locking chain grab hook - am i doing it wrong?

I may be the only crazy one here, but when I need to be sure my grab hooks stay in place, I just use some electrical tape. When in tension, they will not come off. When not in tension, they will, very likely, not come off if held in place by something like electrical tape. Personally, that is...
