I recently purchased a Ironcraft FRF-165 (165 cm / 65”).
I’m running the mower behind a Kubota L5740 with filled rear tires and max wheel weights and FEL. Our tractors should be along the same weight.
I think it handles the mower well, and is pretty stable. (Albeit I haven’t run it on any...
I use my heated garage to remove the snow.
In all seriousness, Is the melted lake of water in your garage creating an issue? Does it migrate over to things you don’t want sitting in water?
When I built my shop I didn’t want floor drains for a few reasons. I opted to put a 2% slope on the...
I bought mine from Messick’s, they said it was the last one they had in stock at the time (December).
Miller tractor has one in stock:

Del Morino (Italy) is definitely the gold standard in flail / ditch fail mowers, but my use is infrequent and I couldn’t justify the high cost for my application.
Resultantly I recently purchased a Ironcraft ditch flail mower. I didn’t want a china built mower. The Iron Craft mowers are made by...
I’m about to have Brian add euro hooks to my tractor thanks to all the post from you guys. I like the idea of the rope for the top link, but don’t like having excess loose stuff hanging around the back of the tractor.
I found the cheapest and smallest fall restraint yo-yo I could find on...
Thanks Hybrid and TMGT.... You guys have helped me solidify the decision to go to Euro hooks. Brian at Fit Rite offers a nice service for me to send my link ends in and he will replace them with the Euro hooks. Easier than modifying my implements, and it sounds like there will still be a...
I have an L5740 Cab and have been deliberating between a quick hitch, Pats or swapping out my link ends for Euro hooks. I've read many threads discussing the pros and cons.
Pats and the Euro hooks are certainly the most versatile in terms of fitting "anything". Pats are a non starter for me...
I originally bought my three point SSQA adapter with the primary intention of using my forks on the rear, when I need to move a full pallet of pavers… or anything else that exceeds the capacity of the loader.
But to your point, once you have it, it adds a lot of flexibility.
I also modified...
I also posted this over on Orange Tractor Talks. For my TBN users, I wanted to share my new snow setup on my L5740. Totally overkill for most snow weather events here in Maryland, but it's "nice to know you can." Luckily we just had a couple decent snow events so I was able to test everything...
I purchased my Kubota front mount snowblower second hand a couple weeks ago. The first photo was the condition it was in when I bought it. The paint had been worn off of the fan housing and chute. Shortly after I bought it we had our first snow of the year and ran the blower. Running snow...
Have you used POR-15 before? How does the Rustoleum product compare to it? POR is pretty incredible, after it is cured you can beat it with a hammer and it doesn’t chip off.
Has anyone tried POR on the inside of the blower and chute? POR is super durable, can go over rust. I'm not sure how "slippery" it is compared to enamel or sno-flo paint. I'd be curious to see how it holds up inside the blower and chute.
For anyone else wondering these same questions (like I was). I recently purchased a L4479 blower and also had the chance to look over a L4474 blower at Messicks. I can tell you a few of the observable differences.
The L4474 in general looks like it is built sturdier. No surprise why it...
A little off topic, but related to the L4479/ L4474 Blowers -
I just picked up a used L4479 blower for my L5740. While searching for a pre-owned front mount blower, I came across a photo of this blower that someone had installed poly rollers on.
For the guys using these blowers on...
