I have a much older GC, but I believe the wiring for the chute deflector and its switch would be the same. Switch mounting is different, of course, as my "dashboard" is not like yours at all.
Assuming your switch is the same as mine:
1) being a 12VDC motor which needs to be reversible, all...
You guys are making me feel lazy!
Other than mowing duty (which my GC does very well), I've been using the FEL plus a log fork(is that what it's called?) to lift up 100-lb rounds to place on a log splitter. These machines sure a great to have around to help with heavy lifting! I'd never be...
Not sure what you mean, but it could just be the %$# camera I use stretching the image on the sides. (The old camera I had worked quite well, but eventually the storage-to-card circuitry died. This one I bought to replace it really doesn't work as well for me.)
Well, as it turns out, that wasn't an original hose -- it was one of the two or three that failed when the tractor was still fairly new. Bought my GC in early 2008 and I had apparently replaced that one in May of 2011. I guess 14 years isn't too bad...?
I was, however, surprised at the price...
Well, haven't done anything yet, but it looks like I'm going to have to change another hydraulic line. Replaced one of them that go from the joystick back to the rear quite a few years ago, and now I have another (the "return loop" when BH is off) that's leaking. Glad I have shops nearby that...
And my GC is the same -- slight pressure forward on the go-pedal while pushing down firmly and continuously on the diff lock lever. Sometimes it's a real bear to engage. So far I've been able to get it in when needed, but it ain't always easy.
It really does make a big difference in traction...
If it were me: I'd remove one of my existing plugs and take it to a John Deere dealer and see if it fits one of their models listed in the description above. There do seem to be a BUNCH of different hydraulic coupler sizes out there.
Well, I'm getting better at this... After using the FEL and BH to handle firewood logs, I --once again-- went through the conversion from TLB to lawn mower and hit our lawn yesterday. Now taking me only about 15 minutes to drop off the BH and the FEL (I leave the MMM on all the time in the...
Making progress on the two smaller piles... amazing how strong that BH/thumb combo is. I wouldn't be able to do this otherwise. Some of the piles I'll have to wait on -- still too muddy! It's been a wet spring here, with more rain on the way for the next 2-3 days. My turf tires just aren't up...
Well, I did complete the Metamorphosis-to-Lawn Mower earlier this week, and did my first lawn mowing... but now I have a job in front of me that will take a while:
The seven large trees I wanted GONE are now down, and I have quite a large pile -- three, actually-- of logs to process for...
Thanks, Dave!
Took a look at mine --I've never had a burn-out-- and discovered the state-of-the-art (ca. 1950) pair of #1075 --really??-- bulbs in my headlights, yes, only two.
Have ordered some BA15D LED replacements for these bayonet-base antique bulbs and will see how they work. Thanks for...
Dave, what LED bulbs did you use? That might be a good starting point for me -- and yes, Racer4, the main issue is that the blower (and its chute, and the snow stream from it) really block most of the light from the headlights. I've taken to wearing a bright LED strap-on head light to help with...
