What have you done with/to your GC Series 2300, 2400, 1700 Tractor TODAY

Making progress on the two smaller piles... amazing how strong that BH/thumb combo is. I wouldn't be able to do this otherwise. Some of the piles I'll have to wait on -- still too muddy! It's been a wet spring here, with more rain on the way for the next 2-3 days. My turf tires just aren't up...

Well, I did complete the Metamorphosis-to-Lawn Mower earlier this week, and did my first lawn mowing... but now I have a job in front of me that will take a while: The seven large trees I wanted GONE are now down, and I have quite a large pile -- three, actually-- of logs to process for...

Yes, the system with the two "fake" lights on the sides and only two 1075 bulbs in the center section.

Thanks, Dave! Took a look at mine --I've never had a burn-out-- and discovered the state-of-the-art (ca. 1950) pair of #1075 --really??-- bulbs in my headlights, yes, only two. Have ordered some BA15D LED replacements for these bayonet-base antique bulbs and will see how they work. Thanks for...

Dave, what LED bulbs did you use? That might be a good starting point for me -- and yes, Racer4, the main issue is that the blower (and its chute, and the snow stream from it) really block most of the light from the headlights. I've taken to wearing a bright LED strap-on head light to help with...

Expensive, yes (just like anything with "AGCO" on it...like "airplane"...), but that's one item I miss on my 2310 -- bet your headlights work better than mine! The 2300 headlights are what I'd expect to see on a 5 HP riding lawn mower...and about as effective. So I've started planning a...

Maybe just a little more finessing, but I'm just about done with that &$%# hole where that butternut log resided for four years.... Four 3-ton dump loads later. After: Before:

Well Im confused but happy. GC2410 blinker.

On my 2310, the blinker seems to be tied in with the mickey mouse flashers (selected yellow light flashes, but the other stays on continuously); does that relay maybe something to do with that? Do your flashers still work normally?

Cut six more sections off that log yesterday -- this time I cut them about 8" thick. Much easier to handle, but still about 100 lbs each. Just a few more and I can get the last large piece out by dragging, I think. See that yellow thing? Say what you want, but that old McCulloch Pro-Mac 10-10...

Thanks, Ray -- just ordered a pair! I know one of my connectors is getting flaky....

Yes, pollarred21, these tractors make great "self-propelled wheelbarrows"! I use mine that way a lot. I'm old enough now that my back can't take it, either. Just crawling around to grease all the fittings on the FEL, BH, and my blower quick-hitch the other day made me ache all over the next...

PS: note the two rounds in the FEL.... found I needed that to keep the front wheels on the ground when lifting those cut-offs!

Speaking of which... My 2310 has completed its transformation from snow-blowing duty (finally!) to TLB set-up. Trying to get rid of a butternut log that's been sitting for 4 years. Man, that thing is HEAVY!! I'm having to cut from both sides with a chainsaw as much as I can, then use the tractor...

    Pimp my Massey: New GC1723EB

Looks great!! BTW, a quick Japanese lesson -- "mitsu" = "three" (of something), "bishi" = "diamond(s)". Yep, the same Japanese conglomerate that makes cars, trucks, heavy equipment, refrigerators, skis, and "Three Diamonds" canned tuna, among other stuff.....
