I needed to rent a field roller the other day and I was told I needed a Hammer Strap on my drawbar. I went to Case and they wanted $175 for one to fit my tractor. Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts on getting on made and maybe not paying that much? My tractor is a 2016 Case Farmall 75 C...

    Tillers Again

It is cold and snowy here, but not enough snow to plow. So I am playing on the computer and looking at tillers. I sold my 72 inch KK with I used for 6 years. It worked great but I want a bigger tiller. I am looking at the John Deere 681 and the Land Pride RTA 3576. My tractor is a Case...

Snow Blade  Avoiding removing gravel while plowing snow.

I was talking to a friend today. He said he had a local welding shop cut a grove in a 2inch pipe so he could slip the pipe over the mold board on his blade. They also put a couple of attachment points on the pipe and he used rubber tarp fasteners to hold the pipe in place. He said this...

    Tiller  Upgrading tiller

I am upgrading my tiller and looking for feedback/reviews. I don't find much on the web. I have approximately 5 miles of tilling between the rows of shelter belts to do. I have been using a King Kutter 72" for the past 6 years. It has worked well, but I am adding a lot of trees this spring...

    Looking at a 75 C

I test drove a Case 75 c the other day at the local dealer. It seemed like a great tractor with a lot of nice options. I can't find that much feedback on the web about them. Looking for any experience s or feedback. Thanks

    Comparison  John Deere 5325

I have a friend who has a 5325 he is selling. Don't know the price because he is selling it as a package with some equipment. Checked prices on the 5325 they seem to be 34-36k with a cab, loader, and 4x4. An New 5075e is about 50k. Prices on the used 10 year old tractor s seem kind of high...

Buying Advice  Looking to upgrade nest winter/spring

I want to upgrade my tractor next spring. I have 41.9 acres. Most of it is in hay and I have four big shelter belts. I primarily use my tractor for maintaining the shelter belts and mowing. I would like a big enough machine to move and load round bales. I will also use it to plow snow and other...

Point me in the right direction

I am looking for information on my Case Uni-loader. It is a 1845B. What I can find on the internet says these were made between 1983 and 1985. The stats sheet says it is a 45 HP gas with a 63 inch bucket. Mine is a diesel and has a 73 inch bucket. Does anyone know about these or know of a...

    Need Help-1520 Hydr Leak

Had my first break down yesterday. The first time I loaned my tractor out and it sprung a leak. Tractor is a 1969 JD 1520. I bought it last winter and have put about 30 hours on it with no problems, in fact it has been running great. Loaned it to the neighbor to mow. He mowed for about 1...

    Hydraulic Cylinder for 3 point

A friend of mine suggested that I get a hydraulic cylinder for the top pin of my three point. It looked like a pretty good idea to me. Does anyone have any advice or experience with a set up like that?

    Throttle on 1520

I have a question on my JD 1520. The throttle seems pretty stiff and it has a tendency to jump out of the position it is in back to a lower speed. I'm thinking this is the governor trying to work, but it just doesn't seem right. Is that how it is supposed to be or do we have it adjusted...

    The Old and the New

Got a lot of work done this week with my old tractor. I finished up (almost) with some planting tonight. Hay barley and wheat. The old tractor did great. The newer drill blew a hydrolic line. I guess you never know.
