Mowing with 100hp and 3-pt Finish Mower

Wow, thank you all so much for sharing your experience and expertise. Now that I know so much more, I am so much more confused. It sounds like my Ag tires on 7000lbs machine would do too much damage. But, the ZT is very hard on the body. I looked around and everyone raves about the comfort...

Mowing with 100hp and 3-pt Finish Mower

Thank you all so much! I'm trying to keep the cost down, so while the tri-folder/bat-wings are great, they're way out of budget. That goes for top line zero turn also. It sounds like pulling a 72" or 84" finish mower behind a tractor for lawn work is pretty reasonable. The Woods looks great...

Mowing with 100hp and 3-pt Finish Mower

I'm hoping to get some feedback from more experienced people (which is probably all of you). I have an old Kubota ZG327 (yes, gas) zero turn that has been serving me well for about 10 years (bought it used, and it was old then). It works, and does okay, but I think it's underpowered for me...

I have an M9960 and would like to replace the manual pto top link with a hydraulic one. the tractor has extra hydraulic ports on the back but I don’t know much (or anything actually) about hydraulics. Can someone identify a good complete solution that I can buy? Including hoses with the...

    Major Landscaping Questions

Thank you to everyone so much! Spike56: Very wise of you indeed. When I bought this house it had 4' of water in the basement for probably years. Rebuilt it all. There's a very wet mountain right behind the house. Leveled the area behind the house, dug a ditchswale to catch the mountain...

    Major Landscaping Questions

I've been renovating a house and am feeling stuck on the design of the landscaping. Specifically, driveway and parking issues. We have a front porch across the entire front of the house and it wraps 12' around the North side. Past that are the HVAC condensors. The house sits about 100' back...

Crushed Rock Water Displacement (i.e., how much water will my drain hold)

Anyone know how much water #3 crushed rock will displace (1.5")? I'm trying to figure out how much water a french drain can hold (assuming no percolation)? It's actually a footer drain (9' below grade), that I'm bringing all the way to grade to help with grade-level drainage. Thank you!

M9960 broke threaded rod in leveling assbly

I just backed up and broke the threaded piece of the left hand leveling assembly on the 3pt hitch. It looks like it's Kubota part number 3C081-91470 But it's $200 and I was hoping to get one today. Anyone know if I there is an aftermarket compatible piece out there? Hoping it's a pretty...

    Komatsu PC160 Serpentine Belt Broke

The serpentine belt on my PC160LC7-EO broke. I ordered a new, original Cummins same part number belt and have spent the past several hours trying to get it on. I've rotated the idler as far as I can but cannot get the belt over the crankshaft, alternator, water pump (smooth side) and idler --...

    Insulate Well Tank?

I'm having a hard time figuring this out. I have a 12' x 18' well house with a 5 pitch roof. The structure has a single 2' x 3' double pane window. Roof rafters have 6" of open cell foam. Walls have 3.5" of closed cell. 6" slab on grade has 2" of closed cell on top of it. Well head is...

Excavator Hyd Hose at Top of Tank

No, I didn't. I see now this is the position it needs to be in to check the level. Did I mess things up?
