Oil leak - older PT425 60” finishing mower

Thanks for the information. As I said, these came with the tractor when I bought it. I have been thinking about making a hedge clipper out of a sickle mower. These motors just might be the ticket. Sorry it won't work out for you, as I have two of them. Good luck with yours. I hope it is an easy...

Oil leak - older PT425 60” finishing mower

Definitely looks like it is different. I haven't run these motors with the pto yet to see the rpm's. May have to do that soon. Good luck.

Here are the motors I have, they seem to be the same as each other.

Send pictures of the motor. I have a couple of hydraulic motors that came with my 425. We might be able to work something out. I am not far from you. In Sweetwater. I have no idea if they would even be the right rpm's but we can start with pics. Larry

    Gravely C model

That looks like a well cared for machine. The bachtold is supposed to be a good machine, but I think you are going to like the C8. The dual wheels make it impossible to tip over on side hills. I saw you have a MA106 brush cutter to. They will cut up anything it can push over, 1-1/2" stuff is...

    Gravely C model

The L and C I think used the same configuration with the mag. So it should work. The governor is nice, but I don't find not having one to be a problem. Mine was worn out, so I removed it. The t-head engine is easy to rev low, those flywheels keep the torque available. You did get the manuals...

What did you do with your Power Trac today?

He doesn't like to swap attachments! :ROFLMAO:

New Post Hold Digger and how do you use yours?

Whenever I use my auger, I pull it up every few inches it digs. I too have done the rear wheel lift while drilling. Don't let it dig too much at a time. Plus if you lift almost all the way out, it spins the dug dirt out around the hole for packing later. Don't let it become a corkscrew, as the...

Old BCS 725 working pto, but without power to the wheels.any help troubleshooting would be much appreciated.

Sound like a clutch is not grabbing, not sure how those new fangled two wheelers work, as I only have Gravelys. My guess is clutch. Not worn out, just not doing what it is supposed to be doing. Someone will be along shortly that knows these. You could also call Joel at earth tools.

    BCS - Can't change directions

I am not a bcs guy, but does the lever travel the same amount when the handlebars are reversed? Seems like one of the control cables may be misadjusted. Post some pictures and some of us that don't know bcs might see something. Or call Joel at earthtools. I hear he is very helpful, even if you...

    PT-425 Run-on

Throttle it down to a low idle, count to ten and turn off the key. I am not sure why the robin engine does this. But that has worked for me. Good luck.

    Predator yay or nay

I am sure there are many also who cuss at the word predator. Your sample size of one, is statistically irrelevant. While you had a bad experience, and others may have also. I would bet that you would find the predator to be a much worse decision. But hey, you get to make that twice, to one...

    Predator yay or nay

If you can get a Honda for anywhere close to the price of the predator, you would be crazy not to get the Honda. Warranties won't cover removal and reinstallation. Has anyone ever complained about a Honda engine. I don't recall anyone complaining about one. Take @agjones up on his offer.

Thanks for the post. So that's what an early pt looked like. Not going to lie, were it near me, I might be all over that. Please don't tell me where it is. I don't need it. Larry
