Do You Have a Tractor Shed/Barn?

42 x 60 with 13 foot sidewall here, and wish it was bigger. Summer is not bad as summer toys go to the house garage and I have some work space, but winter is packed pretty good. My pickup truck was pulled out for this winter picture.

    '64 2000 question

A 1964 Ford 2000 with a 4 speed trans will not have live pto which you will not want to run a snowblower with. I know some hard headed people may say that they run a snowblower without live pto, but while they may, it is NOT an effective way to do it. I ran a snowblower behind my 1955 Ford 860...

    Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Kubota

I have turf tires on my B3030HSDC and am very impressed with the snow traction. They are a deep S shape tread and work very well. I also have Rim Guard beet juice in the rear tires and carry a five foot wide box blade to drag snow away from garage doors and scrape concrete driveway.

    Snow blower evolution

The front axle is chain driven from a sprocket between the trans and rear end. A transfer case is mounted where the original pto shift lever went. Actually was pretty easy to install. Only required a rear split between trans and rear axle housing, and remove original front spindles and install...

    Snow blower evolution

I first plowed and back bladed before switching to snowblowing. Front and rear blades. Next came a rear blower. Currently using a front blower which is by far my favorite way to deal with snow. Rear box blade very helpful as well.

Snow B3030HSDC joystick freezing up in bitter cold

Here are pictures of what I found at the cable end at the external valve 3 years ago when I took it apart to replace cables. Was rusted from moisture and stuck. And here are pictures of the new cable from 3 years ago. There does not seem to be any rubber seals at the ends. Cable seemed to be...

Snow  B3030HSDC joystick freezing up in bitter cold

I'm having an issue with the cable to raise and lower my front snowblower freezing up and not allowing the joystick raise and lower to function. When I used it last weekend, it was a little stiff but loosened up as I used it. I always clean off the tractor and blower and sweep off the snow after...

    Too Many Snow Weapons???

Have to agree with posters saying if you have the room to store all equipment, hang on to all of it for use depending on snow conditions as its nice to have options. I use front blower on Kubota as primary, but use old Fords with blades for wet heavy snow that doesn't throw through a blower very...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Woke the Kubota B3030 from its summer sleep to get ready for the white stuff. Also had the old Ford 860 out which was my former snowblowing tractor.

    Ford Jubilee/NAA engine swap.

I haven't seen a flathead 6 in an NAA, but I saw this 6 cyl diesel in a hundred series. The diesel was out of a 6000 if I remember correctly but dont quote me on it lol.

1958 861D Glow Plug Solenoid vs. Starter Solenoid

A solenoid is not pretty much a solenoid. While they all look similar, they can function differently. Some are voltage actuated, and some are ground actuated.

    Trying to identify a tractor

Not so fast, its possible that it is a 4000. The serial number on its own will only tell the year of the tractor. The model number will tell exactly what it is by the breakdown of the numbers. If the serial number and model number have been messed up from battery acid leakage, the casting...

    Turf Tread

Another turf tire user in winter. As already mentioned, the turf tires of today are not the diamond tread of years ago. The turf tires on my Kubota are a deep "S" shaped tread pattern that work very well in snow. They also work very well on the hard packed snow after I snowblow. The rear tires...
