Tractor sold to me as a 2021, but is actually a 2020

agree that even if manufactured in 2020, the model year can be a 2021 etc. Companies usually have a cutover date depending on what updates they might be making year on year. It can happen earlier or later, sometimes without any real reason I've discovered. But I agree with you, if they sold...

Mahindra 8560 vs Deutz Fahr 4080.4e - both with cabs

This sounds about right. I paid 120k for my 6130ttv, no front PTO or 3pt. I did have them put the bigger tires and fenders from a 6140 on though, I was trying to get as much stability as possible for the meadows around here.

Mahindra 8560 vs Deutz Fahr 4080.4e - both with cabs

Recently bought a Deutz 6130ttv, so far I've been satisfied although I haven't done any field work yet. One thing that you might be able to use is the distributor seemed really eager to make the sale in my case and I was able to get 10k knocked off the listed price and have larger tires...

    bumps on driveway after snowblowing

I blew it all to the south side of my driveway. I guess I was going too fast and like dirt said there was probably one bump and as my tracks go over that bump it created another lol. It was wet heavy snow.

Tractor rear PTO vs skidsteer snowblower

I ended up getting a Erskine 2420 79" for the skid. They size the motor specifically for the hydraulic flow rate of your skid (mine was 27 GPM). It clears very well, I likely drove too fast while clearing and it caused bumps in my driveway, so I guess there is a thing as too fast. I have a...

    bumps on driveway after snowblowing

Hey all, I just snowblowed the driveway with CTL and blower. I drove over it and I have seemed to create perfect speed bumps the entire length of the driveway. I honestly don't think I could re-create this if I tried, but sadly its really obnoxious to drive over and in the tractor it...

    Deutz 6130 TTV

thankfully I don't depend on my tractor for livelihood, at least not yet. I am casual enough farmer that if I have a week of downtime while a part ships it won't ruin me. It would be annoying ill grant you that.

Tractor rear PTO vs skidsteer snowblower

The skid is a SVL65 (tracked) high flow, 27GPM - cab The tractor is a Deutz 6130ttv - cab This is all for personal use on my driveway (500ft + large turnaround), the problem is the drifts, else I would normally love to just plow it. The area is all flat. Unfortunately I didn't opt for the...

Tractor rear PTO vs skidsteer snowblower

Looking for updated opinions on what snowblower I should get. I previously got a MK Martin 87, but things happened and I ended up trading the 4707 before I even had a chance to use the snowblower. I now either need to get a 8' PTO snowblower, or get a hydraulic snowblower for the skid. I...

    New Tractor Sales Are Declining

I like my kubota dealer, but the last two times I've been there (last week + 2 months ago) I noticed a substantial increase of stuff sitting on the lot. I commented both times that I was watching sales trends and it looks like their supply is catching up a bit and sales must be slowing. Both...

    John Deere 4066

Ag-pro is advertising new 4066r with loaders for 62.9 on tractorhouse. I'm assuming they chose that number as it would be easy for the customer to suggest 60k as an even number and feel like they are getting a little off the list price.

    John Deere 4066

I'm just trying to give perspective on what that amount of money can purchase. Like morroder said, if you're set on hydro I would personally keep shopping. Depending on what you're wanting to do a brand new tracked skid can be had for that price as well. If JD is your only option because...

    John Deere 4066

67k seems really expensive for that size tractor. I know green paint is expensive but just this June I got a MF4707 for 60k

    New Tractor Sales Are Declining

I don't consider myself a farmer, but I'm trying to grow into it. It's impossible to see how our future will play out, but if I was to guess I couldn't imagine I would ever own more than 150-200 acres, up from my current 55 acres. 200 acres is considered a small amount, with the average being...
