Considering Kioti NS6010 HST Cab Over Kubota MX5400 — Looking for Feedback

Is resale really relevant at 15 to 20 years? I dont bout long term reliability but I would get the one that you would enjoy most while using it. How many hours per year do you expect to run?

What did you buy this week?

New pallet forks. Ironcraft, 48" inch. Been hailing oak logs from neighbor's place. Forks sure handy

    Kubota L4802 vs MX5400

John, I may be the counterpoint in all this...based on what I'm hearing a new, bigger tractor sounds like a big trade off. Navigating it through the woods and all the mods sound like big drawbacks considering you're doing fine now. I'm actually looking for a smaller tractor to navigate my woods...

    Fire, tractor

Property claim is progressing. Tractor claim is moving too slow....dealer is picking up tractor next week for inspection. Adjuster will review. I have good rapport with dealer and I shared my concerns with service manager. I think I have an ally.

    Woodland Mill vs. Woodmax chipper?

Thanks for the insight on blades. It's odd to me that the 8600 and 9900 have 4 blades while the 8800 has 2.

    Woodland Mill vs. Woodmax chipper?

Speaking of big pile, little ash, I lost 20 plus rics of wood last week due to wildfires. The ash is what's left of white oak firewood

    Woodland Mill vs. Woodmax chipper?

Mine too. But, burning in OK is limited to select days that usually don't align with my schedule. Right temp, high humidity and little wind all happening on my days off is rare. makes hard to burn

    Log splitters

I'm don't know all the details. Sunbelt rentals charges $625 for 4 weeks in my area. $280/week. If this is an infrequent chore, remt one for a week and hire a young back to help you. 20 hours of work at 18/hour and 1 week of rental...you can do that for a couple years. 1700 for 10 days seems high

    Log splitters

I bought the same one bout a year ago. It's been reliable. I probably split 30 rics so far. No issues at all. It's split everything I've thrown at it including 20 to 24 inch oak trunks just recently.

So sorry. I trust he is well?

    Log splitters

Are you splitting every year? If so, yes. Purchase one. I rented a couple years. Now that I own one I can split frequently, as my schedule allows. No need to focus for a week to get it done.
