    Returning batteries for warranty claim

Around here we have O'Reilly auto. Since I started buying batteries there I haven't had an issue.....no more Walmart for me. And I try to bring them in just before the warranty expires and let them check it. The pro-rating usually saves me a few $$$.

    Homemade wooden snowplow - thoughts?

Years ago, in my younger days I operated a fork lift for a lumber retailer. When the lumber got snowed in, we picked up a skid of dirt or concrete and nailed a 2 X 12 to the front of it. It generally lasted all winter. I'd say go for your idea....you will know quickly if it will work for you or...

Do I really need a tractor on 1.5 acres?

I can't tell you what you should do but I can tell you what I did. I have a bit over 5 acres. I mow about 1.5 to 2 of it, the rest is wooded. I use a 50" Cub Cadet zero turn and it is great for mowing. But for the rest of the property I use a B2320 to maintain it. I have a FEL, box blade and a...

Novice wants a MIG, advise ?

If I may I will tell you my story. I purchased a 160 amp stick welder, a DC inverter welder first. Absoutlely loved it. I hadn't welded in years and the inverter type is a vast improvement. I weld little projects, fix broken things, usually nothing heavier than 1/4" Then I wanted to try a mig...

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Everyone knows what Harbor Freight is all about. Inexpensive import tools for the home owner / handyman who doesn't need a $200 drill to put holes in his drywall to hang a shelf. As far as Harbor Freight goes, they have a better reputation than the "professionals" who buy the cheapest tool they...

I've got my 2019 2wd and consistently get 25.5 MPG. That only changes when I pull a trailer.

    Chipper / shredder

I'm looking for a mid-sized chipper shredder to keep my property maintained. The chip / mulch are a side benefit. I don't need anything larger than 3-5 inch because anything over that will be cut into firewood lengths. I just want to get rid of brush, twigs, small limbs etc. I'd like to keep the...

Best way to cut pipe at an angle?

I have a small Klutch table top band saw. I suspect the vise would support the saw if I wanted to hang it on a pipe. Then I can adjust the angle while it's hanging there....or set it up before attaching it. If the vise can securely hold a 3" piece of tubing it can certainly hold the saw in...

    new ranger review?

I'm just happy that I don't need snow tires here in the Ozarks. If it snows, it's gone in 2-3 days. If it snows, I'm home in front of the TV until it melts. Last year we had one storm that left 6". I got out my Kubota and cleared the driveway. 2 days later all of it melted. The clearing was just...

Hydraulic connections won’t go on Grapple

I found out that pressure was the issue with my FEL. Where I kept it was in full sun from about 10 AM to 2 PM. If I connected it when it was still in the shade, no issues. But if it sat in the sun for even 1/2 hour it was near impossible to put on a couple of the couplers.
