I would take jumper cables hooked to starter and bypass the stock cables They are known to look fine but will not handle the load. Could also be a bad safety switch acting up, seat switch, PTO switch,ect. Could also be starter relay.

There should be an adjustment some where to even them. On mine under the seat is a threaded rod for each side.

If I am not mistaking that bolt is really just a plug. This is where the return line connects to allow the fluid to return to the sump(tank).

Some models will clear codes if you unhook the negative (-) battery cable for a few minutes….then hook it back up.

I have a XR 4046 and was having the same issue as you. I did what you did with all the ground connections,and also took off the fuel solenoid and tested it. It was ok, so I ended up taking it to my dealer. It wound up being the ecm. It has to be replaced by the dealer, because of the programing...

I have seen this same thing happen when the exhaust port would be stopped up nearly all the way…try pulling the muffler and check.

My son bought a stock 2021 HD 8 and it has been trouble free. I believe he added a top and both windshields. They are well build machines.

Tracnun you can verify the diameter and grade of the bolts,then lookup on the web “bolt torque chart”. This has helped me when torque values are not listed in the manuals.
