I've got a new Kubota MX5400. The top link on the 3-point hitch has a jam nut to keep it from losing adjustment. Does the jam nut just need to be hand-tight, or should more torque be used such as tightening with a wrench?

Is the Kubota MX5400 battery an AGM or flooded/wet-cell battery? There is nothing identifying which it is on the label or in the manual. A parts look-up doesn't mention which it is.

I did try using a ball joint separator to wedge between the spindle flat and the blade and it didn't work, but of course that was wedging-in from one side only - your idea to use 2 chisels sounds much better! I had also thought about welding a nut or something to the pin to try to turn it, but...

There is a hole in the deck that lines up with the retainer bolts, so an impact socket extension would fit. I suppose I could drill or burn another hole with a torch to align with the pin and try punching it out!

I think I'll leave the front at 10 (per the manual) for now and perhaps drop the rear to 18 and see if there is a noticeable difference from 20. If not, I'll try 16 but likely will not go lower than that based on the comments. Thanks to everyone for their input!
