    Started my solar project

Most recyclers don't actually recycle, they just ship it elsewhere to be recycled. Here is an older PBS story about it Where does America's e-waste end up? GPS tracker tells all

    Started my solar project

Thank you for the link. I went there and remembered viewing their material before. Some of their information is good, but they are a tiny bit slanted in their information. The website's maps say there isn't enough wind in my area for turbines, but there are ridges (one that I live on) that...

Figures, politicians and greed. Then again, who fills those PUC appointments? They aren't elected in my state.

    Started my solar project

I'm curious OP and others, since inflation has kicked in are you noticing a quicker ROI (return on investment)? I have been leaning towards a wind turbine due to the high winds we get here, but solar seems like less maintenance and maybe a little cheaper. They have been installing the monster...

About painting a steel sided building

There are really only two ways to deal with rust, you either remove it through multiple methods (mechanical/chemical/etc), or you encapsulate it. All paint oxidizes over time, it is due to the big yellow glob in the sky - photoxidation and photodegradation. It happens with vinyl as well. You...

Which trailer brand has best paint finish?

I guess it is all in the prep. I have a powder coated equipment trailer from bri mar. It sits outside all year long. I actually converted into a pressure washing rig and it gets a ton of chemicals on it and the paint is still good (not shiny anymore due to oxidation). There are some spots...

belt slipping hard and movement surging

Final update. Both belts had slack, just normal belt loosening with age I guess. ANywho, both belts can have the tension adjusted. One is to loosen the alternator and rotate it to tighten, then snug bolt back up. The other one you loosen the double nuts, loosen the idler pulley, pull pulley...

belt slipping hard and movement surging

OK, called dealer, got a tech. He said that if the belt is slipping it will cause surging. THe (what I call an idler pulley) seems to be where you make the adjustment. He said just unbolt it, slide it over to take out slack, and it should be good. IF not they will pick up to service. Belt...

belt slipping hard and movement surging

I always check the levers to make sure they are centered. Double checked it once the belt slipping sound started. I get what you are saying about the fuel blockage, but the surging didn't happen until I was almost at my parking spot. I'll check it in the am.

belt slipping hard and movement surging

Haven't been on this forum in awhile, but thought I would pop on and ask if anyone else has had this issue on an NX? It sure sounds like it is slipping, the tractor started surging, so I quickly stopped plowing snow and parked it. I will be looking at it in the AM. I would imagine it is...

Won't buy another chevy truck (kind of a rant)

I've owned chevy pickups for about 25 years, from s-10s to 2500's. I have generally liked them, but can't buy another. I went to the dealership to get my truck looked at (was still under warranty 3/36). They told me that my truck needed new rotors and discs all the way around, that they were...

gear issue in under 60 hours

Dealer made it right, pick up , fix up, and return in about 1.5 weeks, so this is not a "complaint thread". Just wanted to post it so that others might use it for reference. Was cutting my field, backed up under a pine, got stuck in reverse and couldn't go forward. Had to tow tractor out...

    expresssteel equipment

Anyone on here ever use this brand? I was looking for something made in the U.S. and this is one of the very few I could find. Everything else is Canada or china. 8′ Standard Pullback Snow Pusher - Express Steel Inc It looks comparable to just about every other one made, and it is...

    Rain rain go away!

So, I recently purchased a new tractor to replace my aging 45hp tractor, and I upgraded to a cab from an open station. Since I purchased it, it seems that it has been raining just about every day, and we are having the heaviest/wettest season on record. This leads me to my question, do you run...

    Mowing  linked pedal question

This NX HST CAB is new to me, so here it goes: It has been raining for weeks, finally getting a chance to cut a field with the new tractor. Had the rpm speed up high (after starting mower), had linked pedal on, 2 wd, and PTO on for 7' RFM (it is cool out so there is no AC on). The tractor...
