Near as I can tell, the Ford scoop knives are the same width as the lighter Mott side slicer. So I don't think I need to move the mounting stations to overlap, unless I'm missing something.

My U5030 (310 hrs) has been running odd. Starts up no problem and runs fine for a while. When it gets warm, after a 1/2 hour or so, the rpm's are limited to about 1500-1700 or so. Went to pop the hood to clean my air filter and it won't open. The release cable feels like its working, but the hood remains latched. Pretty frustrating, to say the least. Any ideas on how to get this thing open?

Finally built a new bridge beefy enough to get my U5030 across. Cruised for the straightest hemlocks I had out back. 32 feet long. Planked with 3x8 hemlock.

I'm kind of lucky with this model tractor as the remote levers are very close to the loader joystick: The Green one will be my control.

What I like about it (without using it yet) is how high it lifts for skidding out: That's a full 2 feet of lift. My other one might have been 14" or so. Doesn't sound like much but that little bit makes the difference between butts scraping through the mud or riding high and dry.
