CLANGING in the front diff of brand new T494....what the heck

I absolutely agree on that. The first 90+ HP tractor I stumbled into was a Kubota M8950 in the early 90's. What a beast and zero went wrong with it while other guys had various and sundry problems. 30-40 to 70hp would better serve all but the homeowner guys. Around the house my JD790 TLB (35...

CLANGING in the front diff of brand new T494....what the heck

Of course there are problems with everything but buying the one with a high customer satisfaction is a better bet for someone new at all this. It's not about brands but a better experience for a newcomer.

CLANGING in the front diff of brand new T494....what the heck

My father died when I was pretty young and my sister when she was pretty old. Both from cancer. You never get over it but it puts the whole of life and family in better perspective and that makes it better. .Get rid of that tractor before it gets worse. Then, if you want another tractor, buy a...

What do you drive for a truck?

I damaged my Tundra tailgate and had a pro shop fix it. Best $$ I spent in a while and now I look at the repaired tailgate with pride and not the rumble of regret when I see imperfections that would be there if I did it myself. Just my two cents

You Know You Are Old When

I worked in a high end garage while in school and one Saturday night I had a hot date with a doll in a Jag XKE at 10:00 PM. Because I had to change clothes and stay clean I worked carefully that night. Ten minutes before my date, an older guy in a big luxury car showed up spewing anti-freeze...

    Dog pics

In warmer weather, our dog loves her Spring haircut. She is longer haired and the thick coat of winter just weights her down and makes her hot. She's an inside dog. She is so excited after a haircut she will run circles around the house and barn many times and jump and play. At night, my wife...

Anyone ever had to clear thorny Locust trees?

This works. A cut completely around the bark with a chainsaw, paint the exposed cut with glyphosate/Roundup concentrate to hurry things up and the tree will die and stay where it is. You must paint the cut with the Roundup ASAP after the cut if you want to kill it. I do it immediately and...

    Fatal Tractor Rollover

What happens in a lot of rollover fatalities, either car or equipment, is not that the driver is thrown totally clear of the vehicle and then rolled onto but rather partially ejected from the side window and then rolled onto. The flopping action of the vehicle tosses the occupant sideways and...

What water bottle do you have?

I just watched the Project Farm video on water bottles and it was very good. One thing that was not addressed was ounces capacity of bottle that is best for most people. I find the 40 oz Thermos bottles from Costco as too big and not likely to fit in my cup holder. Any idea of a popular volume...

What water bottle do you have?

I'm trying to buy a water bottle to use because I need to drink more water but am baffled by the huge number of brands, shapes and capacities. Someone said buy a Yeti but there are dozens of those. I looked at some 40 ouncers at Costco but it's the size of a thermos and won't fit in my...
