    Removing “grass” in sandy soil

That’s a lot of work done for sure. Family affairs are never easy.

    Removing “grass” in sandy soil

I was assuming 12 hours plus drive time and all that. From what I’ve heard talking to people $75-175 depending on the type of work.

    Removing “grass” in sandy soil

Update: Customer didn’t like my price. $1,450 to till and remove all debris, spread existing dirt pile, smooth all the dirt out for new lawn. The price seemed fair to me considering it was nearly 2.5 acres.

    Removing “grass” in sandy soil

Haha just moved down here and forgot to change my location. It’s fairly loose sand so you’re probably right. Rip it up with the box blade and then carry the material out with the rake.

    Removing “grass” in sandy soil

Hey guys. I’m looking to remove what once might have been a lawn for a customer and then prepping the area with dirt for a future lawn. 2+ acres. The lawn is mostly weeds and grasses on top of sandy soil in south Texas. I’m curious on what implement you think might work best. I have a loader...

    Easy rops brackets

If you were mounting right up against the rops that would be a good solution. I did that for a rear box on mine but I like how these give some clearance between whatver you're mounting and the tractor.

    Easy rops brackets

Hey guys, Just thought I would post a little tip I figured out over the weekend that may help someone else. Spare tire brackets like this one from Amazon work great as a mounting bracket for your rops. You can clamp it right on and use the existing bolts to mount a toolbox or string trimmer...

Bush Hogging 8 acres - pricing?

Not sure how I can reply to everyone at once but I'll try this. Never again sight unseen pricing on a job. I stopped doing that a long time ago but thought I get away with doing it this one time. 5 acres of normal overgrown field. 3 acres of 2-4" saplings and 6 foot tall grass. The pictures...

Good point. My main thought was to hopefully catch any wire or a rock before it destroys the cutter. I’ll have to be careful it doesn’t dig in. I haven’t discussed trash removal which I didn’t even think of. I will add that to my list.

Bush Hogging 8 acres - pricing?

I’m going to walk the heavily overgrown areas when I arrive to check for junk so hopefully I can spot obstacle before they become a problem. I’m also going to be mowing it with my grapple on the tractor riding close to the ground to, in theory, catch any wire or trash before it becomes an issue.

Bush Hogging 8 acres - pricing?

Understood. My goal is to upgrade to larger equipment in 3-4 years but I needed to get started without putting too much money into a new side of the business. Hopefully I can upgrade sooner.

Appreciate the information. I'm aware of the need for location when posting which is why I put my location in the body of my post. Never actually noticed the location near the screen name. Information added. Thank you
