    At Witt’s End!

That doesn't look like fun. I think you better call up some friends. A machine shop should be able to turn a new shaft from high strength steel. I think the housing can be ground out and welded back.

    Trailer build

When I use tubing on a trailer, I make sure there's a way for water to drain. I was given a trailer with a tube frame, there was a LOT of water trapped the the tubes. I notch the bottom ends just a little before welding.

Anyone buy or using the Fluid Film spray gun?

Napa just had a sell, I bought a 5 gal bucket for 180.00. I still need to buy a gun, or I may fart around and make my own. Although 46 bucks for the Woolwax isn't a bad price. I'm not going to spend 100.00 for a gun. I'm thinking of making a siphon gun, just thinking for now.

Need simpler ideas to make this is old trailer dump again.

I have a older hydraulic power unit that I would sell. I have 50.00 in it. The control valve is attached to the pump, push of power up, pull for gravity down. You would just need a cylinder. I can send a picture if you might be interested in it. I've built two dump trailers, and several others.

    home shop lathe

Way back in senior year, we got to tour Monarch in Sidney, Ohio. The floor was interesting, 4x4's on end. You could see where a casting was dropped, and new 4x4's were put in. Good machines, to bad they shut the doors.

Buying RK Tractor for those who don't live near Rural King

When I was shopping for a tractor/loader I looked at RK hard. Great prices, but service was iffy. Then I ran across a web site about all the problems they were having with their tractors. That did it for me. Rk is 1 1/2hr away from me. i never could talk to a guy in service. so, nope.

    home shop lathe

I bought a Precision Mathews lathe two-three yrs ago. 14x40, 2" bore, DRO's, variable speed. The cost has gone up. You can find good, low cost lathes around. Just a waiting period to find one. I'm very happy with mine, and Matt is really easy guy to work with. I always hated the small bore...

weld shop clean out job and other Keweenaw sites

The company I worked for had a torch head for the plasma, never used it. I think it would have cut the thicker steel better. But then again ours wasn't a large machine. What makes this special to you?
