So I tested the battery last night. Fully charged. Didn’t even flinch when I load tested it. I do have a service manual with wiring diagrams although the one BravoXray shared seems to be different.

The old battery was of an age where it legitimately could have been done so I opted to not mess around with it. I assume it is charging but now that you mention it, I guess I don’t know for sure. I will have to explore that possibility as well.
