And how often do you lubricate ujoints? Be honest. Like I said, ujoints are cheap. But gearboxes are not and the owners manual says nothing about changing its lubricant.

Im not greasing ujoints after everyday’s usage especially when it entails taking the driveline apart. Apparently you have an unlimited amount of free time…but I don’t.

I hate it when someone starts a thread laden with specific details but then fails to provide followups or a conclusion. Was a re-build actually performed and was it successful?

I’m not going through the hassle and mess of greasing the UJ’s every 8 hours. I use polyurea grease and have increased the regular intervals to 50+ hrs. If I wreck a UJ…ok. I’m out $25 and life goes on.

The owners manual for my 6’ Titan says to grease the zerks every 8 hrs. Why aren’t they lubricated for life like they are on trucks?

Delvac is $85 but not available at TSC. Rotella HD @ TSC is $120 (ouch!). Locally, I can get John Deere Hy-Gard for $122. Decisions, decisions….. Im just not comfortable with farm store house brand lubricants.

Regarding THF do you have a preference? Big price difference between the two at TSC.
