I did not hear that John Deere is starting to move production out of USA. FOR some model tractors

I haven't bought anything Green in a long time. The only JD product I have is an old LA100 mower. They lost me at the beginning of the 'right to repair battle' It's just a C/S way to do business. Even the slightest issue requires a tech to drive seventy miles to read the software and make one...

Horse lays down for a couple hours = start digging grave?

Out here in North western Nevada, I see plenty of animals laying down for various reasons. Horses lay down, roll in the dirt or grass and then nap. I watch the cattle more closely. Around here, their behavior is sometimes a weather gauge. If their laying down I prepare for lightning and thunder...

Is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a joke?

Music taste and religion, are up there on the list of causal agents for arguments. I personally like just about everything except Rap, Nortenos, Narco Corridas and Techno. I even have an album of Indonesian Gamelan music.

My Steering Wheel does not stay centered

The steering wheel issue was something we used to torture mouthy new mechanics with. We would point them to a Gradall and tell them to sort out the steering wheel clocking. Even brand new ones don't index the same way from use to use.

Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

It sounds like you're having trouble in the vicinity of the throttle body which is under the top cover. The codes involve TPS throttle position sensors and the MAP sensor Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. The commentors are correct in saying you should check vacuum lines and connections to the...

What is the oddest machine you have worked on or operated

I can think of two that vie for the oddest title. I helped repair a walking beam pit saw. It was powered by a water wheel and long leather belts approx. 8" inches wide All the drives were oak and I think the shafts were Hemlock. It was a nice distraction from what I was doing. I finally got to...

    Jointer Questions

I've found some interesting items on Facebook Marketplace. I just picked up a fairly new Grapple bucket on the cheap. I had a couple hours round trip to the People's Republic to pick it up. But it's just not useful to the former owner. You might consider looking on FB, in your own area of course.

    Boomer 33 ECU

I've seen a few sites for Breakers of tractors and equipment. Try used tractor parts and then use your model number. It may take a bit of detective work. Apologies if I'm pointing out the obvious. And used ECM/ECU's are always a crap shoot.

Looking to counter Bobcat's rort with it's ripoff prices for mower parts to suit the CT1025.

Even with the exchange rate it's a bit of a stretch. All my Bobcat experience is with Skidsteers. I did look at the US prices for those items, 3 blades 85.99 1 belt 185.99 comes to 443.96 US or 682.47 Au. Do you have a mate in the US that can buy them here and send them on? Even with freight it...

Are tractors and equipment a good investment right now?

Except Dubai, they made some more land. I'm not sure if it worked out for them but.....

Cameras and the weather and the placement of For/rev lever

I made something like that years ago. I used two of the Union 76 antenna balls and two speaker magnets. Still works, but I had to put tennis balls in place of the antenna balls. Styrofoam apparently doesn't like UV.

    lost nuts!

I believe the phenomenon you describe has to do with short duration worm holes. It the same thing that causes socks to disappear from the dryer.

    Bitcoin: What do you think?

It's the Canadian equivalent of MSHA which is Mining Safety and Health administration. At least that was what I was given to understand CMCP is the Canadian Mining Certification Program.

    oil furnace sooting extensively

I had that problem and it turned out to be a faulty pressure regulator. I think it was $70.00 plus the labor. No problems since then. That's the sort of thing i like to leave to professionals. I try not to mess with systems that can cost me more if I poke around in them. NOSHOK is the brand I...
