The battery cable to the solenoid has full voltage. So from the battery forward to this point, it's good. Things are getting very tight inside the engine compartment.

Thanks folks for your support and advice. Found the problem. Apparently all the various sensors & safety switches have a 'brain' - one sensor that 'sees' what the other ones are doing. At least that's how the parts dept described it.
