I have an 18 hp Kawasaki on my 325. While engaging mower deck when engine is cold...the engine stalls. If I wait until It's fully warmed up the engine will not stall and recover. thoughts?

recently replaced all drive pulleys to correct some pulley squeal. Didnt replace the drive belt as it was 3 yrs old and looked great... all appeared good . after 5 hrs the belts smoked and screded. could it be the transaxle? 600 Hrs thoughts..

Charging light coming intermittently on when running. Charge light at half brightness at times. no PTO is engaged. When PTO is engaged or lights turned on, it is more frequent. Cleaned all connections. New Battery. Engine is a Kawasaki 18HP thoughts?
