Snow Plow Build Finished - Underslung QA Loader Mount

It used to be 6-8 four inch cutoff wheels swapping out harbor freight angle grinders as they’d heat up. Next time I’ll be running most of the slot on the Bridgeport I picked up last year.

This thing continues to work great for my application. Time well spent on this build.

Snow Plow Build Finished - Underslung QA Loader Mount

Been using this setup for 6 winters now and it’s been great. Only thing I changed was to add a removable pipe to the cutting edge for when the gravel isn’t frozen. I’ve found I get about 3 winters out of the schedule 40 steel pipe before it wears through and needs replacement.

    Thinkin about..

I've always run Husky's and when I was shopping for a firewood saw I looked at the Husky Ranchers and in comparison to the Echo there wasn't much comparison. The Ranchers are plastic clamshell engine cases and have autotune. I don't want electronics on a chainsaw. The Echo saws all have...

Chains on front or rear tractor tires for pushing snow

I tried chains on the front of mine the first winter with it but as stated above they make a VERY bumpy ride unless you’re driving IN snow with them. I installed GripStuds in the front tires and they’re excellent and not bumpy. I leave them in year round since I don’t drive on pavement in the...

    Saw Haul Overhaul

Geeze man...what saw is that, how sharp are those dogs, and how fast do drive bouncing the tractor around? I carry and Echo CS-620P in mine fairly regularly and my scabbard doesn't look nearly that bad. The Echo is a heavy saw (about 14.5 lbs with the bar) with dogs on both sides. Regardless...

Let's see some homemade 3 point ballast!

Pics of my build are on page 12 of this thread but here are a couple pics of it finished. Being able to use the QH was an absolute requirement when I built mine.

A Setback or "underslung" SSQA Snow Plow Build Story

It was difficult to see in the pics from my build but I also have a pair of vertical steel pieces that line up with the plow a-frame. They allow me to apply down pressure for back dragging or scraping but I also needed them as a sort of parking stand for the frame when it was off the tractor to...

rear torque bolts - mahindra 2555

Did you get your answer from the dealer? The torque charts I found go by bolt grade and bolt diameter. I have a 2655 which is essentially the same tractor and if I remember correctly the rear wheel bolts are 16mm grade 10.8 which puts the torque spec at 230-280 ft lbs. That said, when I was...

Tailgate Sander to QA Mount Mod Finished - QA Mounted Sander project with Pics

I had a sander for my yard plow truck but when I got the new tractor I started looking at other options since the ultimate goal was to replace the plow truck with the tractor. The only decent options I could find for SAND was an expensive PTO operated sander...most spreaders could only do salt...

55+ hp tractor with fel and snow plow

This was my build using an 8' Fisher Speedcast plow on my Mahindra 2655. Here's a link to the full write-up: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/build-yourself/401291-snow-plow-build-finished-underslung.html?highlight=underslung

Where are the glow plugs located?

As RNeumann mentioned above it uses an intake manifold heater. It doesn't matter if you turn the key to the left or if you turn it to the right, the heater will activate. I agree it's silly and I never bother turning mine to the left. If I need to preheat it I just turn the key to the on...

Anyone Using a Puma 80" or 84" Snow Blower?

I have the hydraulic rotator and deflector so I can't speak to how the electric option is.

Wheels instead of Skids - WoodMaxx SB-84 Snowblower

I run chains on all 4 tires. Once my driveway is frozen and snow covered for the season they are pretty much required.
