You can ask a local scaffold company to supply engineers drawing to safely rig up scaffold over the roof.
They know their products and have experience with this kind of situations.
Maybe they can provide the drawing at no cost for you with the rental of the equipment.

I think the 4420 sell new for 10K $cad.
Don't know for the 4000, but itis bigger than mine.
The dump frequency is in direct relation with the quantity of stuff on the ground.
But at least, I don't pickup all of this by hand.

Best solution to get rid of oak leaf on a big place is a Agrimetal tuffvac 4000 or is little brother 4420.
I own a 4420 and it a great machine with a live floor to unload. Unfortunatly, the 4420 is no longer in production.
The tuff vac can be run on pto or stand alone with a 27 hp kolher...
Try putting a piece of steel pipe outside to keep thing round and insert a big ratchet socket inside the fitting. Then use a pair of long nose vise grip to work the socket in the fitting until it get back to shape.
Sorry no picture of what I mean.
My goal with the ratchet rake is to remove the layer of weed without removing a lot of dirt like I will do if I remove 2 inches of dirt everywhere.
If it loossen the dirt on thee surface, it will be a bonus.
After, I will level the yard with the bucket and the blade.
BTW A excavator operator...
We want to finish the yard behind the house.
We do a lot of work and nothing is flat anymore. Weed have grown everywhere.
Did a ratchet rake will help to flaten the yard and deal with the weeds clumps.
Dont want to buy something just to discover it not the right tool.
I have a backblade...
Maybe an Agrimetal tuffvac 4000 would do the job.

I got a agrimetal 4420 and the machine do a great job to remove leafs and thach.
I will make the groove deeper and wider to help keeping the cable in the sheave.
And maybe add a piece of steel to be sure the cable cant go between the sheave and the housing like Gordon Gould does
You mean the cable could get out of the second sheave when doing side pulling?
Norse winches are built this way. Maybe I miss a detail about their sheaves configuration.
I'm pretty confident the cable will stay put. I add a swivel cable guide to help the loose cable follow the right path.
Unfortunatly, no way to freespool without modification of the winch.
I plan to use a wireless remote to control the hydraulic valve on the winch.
I will add mounting tab on the 3 pt
First layer speed should be 82 fpm.
I cant justify to spend as much money a pto winch worth.
The hydraulic winch with the motor was real cheap and I have some material on hand.
I will use this winch for maybe 2-3 times by year to recover trees in bad spots or to control falling route.
