11,000 miles in 11 days... and they say I'm the crazy one. LOL.

    Who rides motorcycles?

Indeed I am. Life has been bumpy at times but it's been a good ride. :)

    Who rides motorcycles?

Doesn't matter if it's street, dirt, or track. It's all more fun than anyone has a right to have. Hope I get to keep riding as long as I'm sucking in air.

Longer bar for Stihl M261 - relative novice.

Somehow that doesnt come as a surprise that you dont nor that you make a point of it, lol. There are some things I won't buy used but pro level saws are generally a solid deal. They're dead simple to rebuild.

That combo will get some work done for sure.

Anyone have a MechMaxx 3-pt stump grinder?

Check every bolt. I had some loose cutters, a couple main bearing bolts weren't very tight, and one grease fitting wasn't even finger tight. I don't have an issue figuring out what the cut depth is but I do find sitting side saddle with one arm draped over the back seat and laying on the...

Push over trees with a small compact?

Ropes with lots of stretch are great for climber fall arrest or using a rubberband effect to pop stuck vehicles out of mud but I'll stick with the consistency of a stout 3/4" static bull rope with a 5-1 fiddleblock pulley block attached for dropping trees. I use the same set up even if I plan on...

    FEL bucket not level (Horizontally)

A simple digital angle gauge provides an excellent reference point to check assemblies and is useful for a variety of tasks. I use one for setting saw blades on the table saw and drill bits on the drill press. It's super handy as nothing needs to actually be level to make measurements and...

Longer bar for Stihl M261 - relative novice.

You've gotten some good advice. The MS261 is a nice lightweight saw but running more than an 18" bar is going to slow things down considerably and make it more bog prone. 16" is probably it's sweet spot in hardwoods. Also as mentioned Stihl gets a bit skimpy on max oil flow on their newer saws...

    Painting a House Exterior

Personally I'd never use a sprayer to paint the exterior my own house. Brush or at a minimum roll and tip. As with any painting the surface prep is absolutely everything. Too smooth, too rough, too wet, or too dirty, or too rotted will all negatively impact the final result. Don't underestimate...

PTO Shaft to Gearbox Bolts Keep Breaking!

As mentioned in a post above all the bolts in the photo show signs of getting hammered on their sides due to not being torqued down. That should not be happening. Torque them down tight when installing them. The nuts are only there to ensure they don't come lose.

Anyone experienced increased NO2 emissions on modern tractors with DPF?

Got about 10 hours on the tractor in the last couple of days. Either running it thru a manual DPF cleaning cycle helped or whatever stuff I had going on with my lungs cleared up. For now things seem to be fine again.

Anyone have a MechMaxx 3-pt stump grinder?

My Mechmax sg24 got delivered yesterday evening. Knocked out 5 oak stumps so far with it before moving onto to other stuff. It took a few minutes to get into a rhythm and get the techinque down. I've got zero complaints. Seems well built.

    Just another junk chainsaw

What's the verdict on using thin flexible fuel line for an impulse hose? I was having some intermittent running/starting issues with my recently acquired 041AV and based on the overall condition of the saw decided to spring for some tune-up parts including new fuel lines, impulse hose, air...
