Extang Trifecta 2.0 Tonneau bed cover review

To the OP, make sure you keep your receipt because it isn't always as easy as this. Mine started to wear out at the folds within 2-3 years. It is over 6-7 years now and this is what it looks like. I couldn't find my receipt but I contacted their warranty support line to give it a try. Sent...

The article says unsecured, but I think I might see one or two straps in there somewhere. Plus some chain to hold the rear tractor forward, so it doesn't squeeze out from under the pile and off the back. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/load-alberta-highway-unsafe-1.5277048...

Those magnetic trailer alignment things are useful, but they charge you for the gimmick aspect of it. You can get the exact same functionality from a magnetic tool pick-upper, for 3-4 dollars instead of 20-30 dollars, and being telescopic it will fold up smaller and fit into a door pocket...

    Diesel exhaust brakes

I am wondering about how much you guys like the exhaust brake on your pickups for towing. I like them to some extent, but find the way they work problematic since I feel like they over-rev the engine. I have a 6.7 L F-250 and have also done some long distance tows on two different dualie Chev...

Yes, it might do that some. I wouldn't think it would be dangerous or anything though. I can't see that it would catch any more wind, or have a higher center of gravity, or be any heavier, than a large truck cap full of tools. Those are absolutely everywhere.

why have 5th wheel and gooseneck couplings?

Yeah, I bought a telescoping magnetic picker-upper for a few bucks to do the same thing. 3 lb Magnetic Pick-Up Tool | Princess Auto Just put the magnet on the ball and line it up with the gooseneck, when you knock it over it is lined up. The telescoping is nice because it just collapses and...

I am not sure if this is wrong or not. Picture is from traffic the other day. Truck is a big flat deck towing rig with new cars on it, probably moving between dealerships. There are two vehicles on the flat deck and one in tow behind. The one in tow had no lights lit. I thought it was mandatory...

Extended Crew Cab- The SuperDuperDuty family hauler

Here is a pic of a guy who went a different direction to get his family hauling pickup truck. Not sure that I would want to put too much weight in that back though, because of the placement of the rear wheels. Looks like the front axle might get a bit light when steering.

Sorry for blurry picture, just got my phone out as traffic started moving so missed getting a good shot. Those are baseball to bowling ball sized rocks in his bucket.

CHEAPEST WAY TO BUILD LOADING RAMPS

Because of my confusing description, I decided to draw a crappy picture. If you try to drag the boat up greased planks it is going to slide off the sides, just use log rollers to defeat friction. You still need to float the stern and get as much water to drain out as possible so you don't damage...

Can I "lift" a horse trailer

Neither God nor Dexter have communicated their intentions to me, and I don't know anything about the axles. I do know it passed safety inspections every year and had at least one brake job done by a local trailer dealer during the time I owned it. It was in good shape and regularly maintained...

    Post hole digger gearbox stripped?

Hey all, hopefully some of you have enough experience with gearboxes (PHD or otherwise) to be able to tell me if this gearbox is pooched or not. I gave it a try the other day and the drive axle is turning fine, but the auger stops as soon as it is touched to the ground. With the tractor turned...

Help with a bridge! Need some good ideas on how to get a bridge in place.

I found this picture of a WWII bridge laying tank called a Churchill Bridgelayer, doing basicly what you have described. Thought you might be interested.
