Splitting my Zetor 6245...again. Need advice.

Sorry to hear this. Make sure your rear vent is not plugged or restricted and make sure the surface of the input shaft where the seal rides not damaged or grooved badly. There may also be a drain in the clutch’s bell housing that may be restricted with debris. Good luck.

Leak at hst input shaft seal

I missed some of this. If the input shaft is damaged at the seal location with a groove it will likely leak again if the seal depth isn’t seated to an undamaged portion of the shaft or if the shaft is not dressed with sand paper/emery cloth to smooth the groove- or you will need to install a...

    Branson 3520r power loss

I removed my OEM filter assembly on my 3520 - same as your picture- because the hose fitting was leaking and after examination I discovered that the hose fittings were only glued into the housing. So I replaced it with a clear inline auto type. Additionally, the OEM fuel pump has tight...

Leak at hst input shaft seal

Is there a vent in the transmission and if so, is it clean and functioning properly? My simple mechanical vent on the front axle rusted shut, fortunately for me this was caught before it started leaking. Also, be on the lookout for dirt dobbers plugging holes, especially the down tube on the...

Regret not getting a backhoe for my tractor

For those with a backhoe and a desire to tackle stumps from time to time, you might try a rock ripper with a sharpened edge to slice the roots and limit the hole size. In the past, I’ve found a bigger machine is better for stumps.

Regret not getting a backhoe for my tractor

We picked up a backhoe (BH) when the tractor was purchased and have not regretted it at all. A subframe mount is a necessity to protect the the tractor and the 3pt assembly from damage. The BH has been used for many things and certainly has less use compared to the low hours on the...

    trail clearing technique and tools

I would say yes; post here if you have a nifty trick, specific tool, technique or method that works well, especially if holding your breath, closing your eyes and scooting to the rear of the tractor seat can get us more traction. I posted my use of a box blade here and how I thought it worked...

    trail clearing technique and tools

Here is one photo of my trails, I used a box scrape without tines to pluck saplings about 2” like a hair; it worked really well. Over 28 years it gets mowed 2 or 3 times a year- once to remove the leaves. Many areas have a nice blanket of moss and motorized equipment is not regularly permitted...
