Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #159,781
Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 6C and it's presently 18.3C, mostly sunny with a gentle breeze.

Later on I'm planning on washing the outside house windows. The 'Mad (agisting) Horse Woman' has requested shifting the horses to Paddocks 3/4/5 this early evening. The grass has grown back very well there so, with hay supplements, they'll probably be there for December. She's watching her hay 'usage' [3 rounds and, perhaps, 10 squares left in my shed] as it depends on when the local producers will cut & bale this season. It all depends on the non-raining spells.

I found out yesterday that I'll need to attend a funeral for a Veteran this Friday... medals to be worn. Oh well.

That's about it, take care all.

Ron, condolences on your BIL passing. Prayers and thoughts for your sister / family.

Drew, hope your MIL improves. Tough to get better at that age. Prayers and thoughts also sent your way.

Took the wifey to Costco yesterday, she got her second pair and they adjusted her first. They were lucky..... only she went in.... I didn't get the chance to express my dissatisfaction with the tech not checking the incoming shipment when I was there a few days before.

Then made a few more stops, the odd-ball / out of the way stops. Ended up taking most of the day.

Today, I was greeted by a flat tire on the car. The whole set was almost wore out, so went back into town to Discount Tire. The tires had a 60K milage warranty, only got 44K on them, so getting a $150 credit towards new ones.

Going to go cheaper this time.... less than half of what I paid for the old set. These only have a 40K warranty. Researched the "brand", made in the UK by Rages Mohave tires. They are a big agricultural tire manufacturer. The reviews are pretty good..... I guess I'll find out!
The tires won't be in until Wednesday, so another trip into town, but what is one to do?

Christmas deco is up in the house.... no chance to do the outside lights yet..... and it's supposed to be windy / cold tomorrow. Expecting 45-60 mph gusts. Not even going to attempt to put them up.

Going to go relax and put the feet up.

   / Good morning!!!! #159,785
Well, just saw the latest forecast.... wind starting tonight, now gusts to 75 mph...... gonna be fun.....

I'm gonna blame it on RNG...... he left the window AND the garage door open!

   / Good morning!!!! #159,786
it's supposed to be windy / cold tomorrow

they just posted gale warnings here for coastal waters tomorrow night,
maybe I'll wait with my inflatables also.

I had to order a squirrel preventer for my main hanging birdfeeder. Yup, climbed 7 feet to feeder.
And then sat up there and stuffed himself

   / Good morning!!!! #159,787
Bottom line is i have to remember I'm unnecessarily carrying around an extra 20 pound bag of birdseed.
always said I'd rather be a little fat and very happy. Just not sure the little fat is a joke any more.
And having too much weight out front, just like on your FEL........... is not a good thing.

Since I broke the tooth, think I can avoid that. ho ho ho
I always justify the carrying of a little fat around th middle as I've got to have fat to inject the insulin into....I also broke the tops on a couple of molars but thought they dont hurt, no-one can see them, they still work and at 85 soon I might not need them, so let them be. (I'm planning on living forever and doing pretty good so far)

PJ, do the cats ever get up on the scale and weigh themselves?
Not without being stuffed inside a carrier (at great risk to the stuffer) and taken to the vet's office.

I've been heavy all my life ...
I was always a fairly skinny guy in my youth. Six feet tall, and I weighed about 145 lbs at 18 years old, and 165 by age 21. I hit around 185 in my late 20s and stayed there for awhile. One day I noticed my close had shrunk and found myself over 200 pounds. As I've gotten older, it's gotten much harder to lose weight. I've been putting more effort into it lately, which is why I weigh myself every Sunday morning. I'm actually recording data on a spreadsheet. It's not easy, but I'm not letting that stop me. I'm determined to unfat myself.

Is the 'Winter" garden in name only or do you actually plant cold tolerant veggies?

Name only, no looking at anything special. Our lows would be in 60’s, days in 70’s. About sane as rest of year, but wetter.

35 outside this AM. Mid 50's today.

Rough day yesterday.

Went to see the Wife's oncologist. Biopsy and all the prior tests are inconclusive on her. Will have to have surgery soon. We expected that, we were hoping for more conclusive results on tests and imaging.

Most of the meeting after the initial diagnosis sent me into a brain fog.

Still there this AM.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Need to get coffee brewing. 37° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with chance of rain in afternoon. Went out to shop to start cleanup. Found 2 projects that needed to be painted. Primes and painted both items. Should be dry enough to assemble and put on Mule and Trac-Vac. I can now start clean up in shop.
Thanks everyone for the prayers and kind comments for my Sister and BIL. Him and I where good friends as well as relatives. He will be missed. They live in AZ.

Saw this lone pine tree while I was letting Sassy outside yesterday evening at sunset.

30 going to 56, nice day before weather changes.

Prayers for your wife, Rip.

Great photo, Ron.

My wife is interested in replacing some of our old beat up furniture, so we took a day trip to Farmville. One company has renovated a whole town full of old brick shoe factories and downtown store fronts, full of interesting new and old pieces and rugs and accessories, etc. Plus, it's a college town, so a very nice place to visit. My favorite part is admiring the construction of these old 4 story buildings...the massive timbers, stones, and industrial scars on the old hardwood floors. Of course, there are so many choices of furniture, no decision was made, but lots of measurements taken and photo. Had lunch at an Amish bulk food store outside of town...best chili I've had in a while.

Good morning all
28 out now, going up to about 50 in mixed clouds
forecast for next week has a lot of storms in it

Riptides, we are all pulling for your wife. Not knowing is very hard on you.

cleaning lady shows up this morning, now where to move my piles...I decided it was easiest to just keep her out of my office.
But house is full of all kinds of extra stuff right now, and it's a tiny house, so I may get some eyerolling when she gets here.

on the window sill in front of the kitchen sink is the playground for a few remaining critters. I have a family of three little teak elephants, Dad, Mom, and child, each about an inch high,
that perpetually walk along on their way to something. I usually put the baby in between the two parents. Cleaning lady has to take everything off to clean the sill so critters don't always get
back in same place. She likes to move them around...

electrician not showing up has the house all cluttered with exhaust fan and light boxes. Guess I'd better go straighten that out.
His not showing up also means I miss the return period for the extra Panasonic bathroom fan I bought. One regular, one a little larger which I wasn't sure was going to fit.
House only has one bathroom and one fan. What to do with an extra exhaust fan?
sometimes things just work out.
when visiting my brother's home in VA, I noticed a tired and weak bathroom exhaust fan. Brother waiting for one more thing to break so electrician can do several things, just
like most of us do. Though some of you do this yourselves, of which I am greatly impressed.
So whatever fan doesn't go in this house, I will ship to brother. Since I use that bathroom at his house, a fine solution for me.
Brother was delighted.

gosh I don't want to go back to that hospital today. If MIL hasn't improved, it's seriously depressing. And I feel like I want to wear three masks.
But I will go for her children, one of whom I married. And to whom I promised to look out after her Mother.
promises made will be promises kept

I'd rather be on Buppies' beach sharing a mug of warm cider with him. Or looking at pictures of Thomas's bears.
Or looking over the infinite Pacific high on an island mountain top we know.
Or remembering seat time in my favorite tractor.

need some mental balance. Try to look on the bright side.

let's see, if I double up on a KN95, well I'm likely to asphyxiate. At least I won't get the flu. ;)
