My one cab tractor I do have a small backup camera on thats on constantly when running and does if a decent field of view of 3 point implements but the small screen and exposure to the elements makes me question the longevity and actually being able to see it in bright light situations of an open station cab.

I like the Jeep side mirror being breakaway. Plus it looks like you can get a great view of offset implements such as my hay mower and rake and has a sturdy mount.

I'm almost wondering if one of those little mirrors that mount on a hat that cyclists/rowers use would be able to suffice? It would probably take some getting used to but then I could just tilt my head up a little bit to make sure and directly behind PTO implement was working correctly instead of have to rotate my head. But then again vibration with such a small lens might make it useless.

If you are mowing hay with a disc machine and an open station tractor, you are playing with fire. Disc machines are notorious for throwing rocks and debris forward toward the back of the tractor (and you) and all makers of disc mowers in their manuals warm the owner / operator of that and recommend only mowing with a cab machine. I runs a disc bine and would never run it on an open station unit, ever.

Far as mirrors go, I bought a nice set of adjustable mirrors from Agri Supply (ASC) and mounted them on brackets I fabbed up from flat stock and mounted them on the top of the loader towers. The ASC mirrors have internal shock dampening and so far they have not failed in 4 years. If you look closely at the right hand side, you can see that mirror and the mount. Same on the other side, just not visible in the picture. I considered mounting a mirror on the Tuff Top roof frame but it would be in the way when getting on or off and it would probably shake too much when moving to be of much use so I didn't.
I run a 5 1/2" drum mower. I've used it 4 years now so far haven't had anything kickback from it. Knock on wood only implement that has thrown items at me ever is my bush mower. I like the size of that mirror set up you have yours. Are you able to monitor your tedder/rake from the mirror. My 3-point hay tedder is a very similar setup.

I was debating between mirrors and backup camera. Installed wireless camera and didn't like it-too many interruptions... Got wired instead and happy with it. Works fine

I got these ... not great, but not bad either

These have worked great for me & "Fergie". Very strong magnets and they also fold either way.

I hate to have to tell you this. For 25+ years I cleaned snow off my mile long gravel driveway, mailbox area and yard with a 3-point blower. Average snow took four hours to clear everything.

I tried - at least - three different rear view mirrors at many different attachment points. None gave as clear a view as just turning around and looking. There simply is not a solid point - at least - not on a Ford 1700.

That is one of the major reasns - in 2009 - I bought a brand new 2009 Kubota M6040 and HD Rhino 8 foot - rear blade. Traded in the 1982 Ford 1700.

Now I'm heavy enough to plow snow - going forward. My NECK thanks me - my SHOULDERS thank me. Hell - my entire body thanks me. Four hours of blowing snow use to take two days for everything to return to normal.
4 hrs is a lot of time. Good for you to have updated to a bigger tractor. Hopefully you have a cab on it with bigger mirrors

Looking for mirror recommendations that allow you to at least have some field of view of 3 point and drawbar attachments. Planning on attaching to loader bracket. Would like them removable when not needed but not completely sold on the magnetic ones. Especially in the case if they fall off it will be just a matter of seconds before the hay mower or baler will eat them up. Recently got a herniated disc in my neck and my range of motion in my neck has been considerably limited.. Boy it sucks getting old.

I found some on eBay that are advertised as for a golf cart that are adjustable, easy to mount and work great.
I mounted two {one each side of my canopy} but they can be installed anywhere.
They were about $6 each as I remember.
AND -- get a good Inversion Table {I finally bought a Teeter as the ankle pads are WAY better} for your neck issue -- you'll thank me later.

I tried using this bicycle helmet mirror attached to my noise protector muffs:

The larger size mirror helped and it worked ok, but I found it too difficult to quickly position my head to see what I needed. Much easier to glance at a fixed mirror with a wider field of view.

I have the same problem with my New Holland. a low cost solution I use is a mirror that straps to my wrist that I use when snowmobling. You can buy them online or at any power sport store.

Wishing you a great day!
