What did you buy this week?

Last week I bought the Bestco PTO FH-BX42 wood chipper. It is well made. Heavy metal plates for the hopper with a 4 blade 80 pound flywheel.
It easily took 4" dried limbs. I bought the factory refurbished unit for $1080 delivered. Used it with my MX5200 Kubota. It never bogged down.
Scootr, sorry I didn't know you were in the market. Just decided to sell my Betstco WCX-5 chipper. Not for $1080, but a slight better machine.

Anybody else local looking? :D

I bought a 18,000lb 2012 Wacker Neuson excavator. 69HP Yanmar. AC still works! No emissions!

And immediately started digging rocks out of farm fields I have been haying around for decades.

I need to repack the three dipper cylinders, but the rest of the machine is dry. It’s got 2 aux hydraulic lines and a return line. She’s got 3,200 hours….didn’t have to give much to buy it.
Need to find a Werk Brau hydraulic thumb…..
Can’t imagine the uses for this thing.
I’m finally an excavator owner. 😁

Man, ive always wanted an excavator…. That, or a WWII Era tank. The wife has said no to either.

I even offered to convert the tank into a snow plow. She wont go for it.

But really, i would love to get an excavator in the 12,000 # range. Just for root removals would be great.

Another of my biggest regrets was not buying an articulating bucket truck that was for sale for $10,000. It was in cherry shape. Onboard generator, low hours, diesel ford f450 body. Even cab interior was nice.

My insurance co would not insure it, so i declined. But i should have bought it to just use on my property for house repairs, tree trimming, heck…just for cherry picking. Wife always nags me for not buying it. I think it had a 45’ reach.

Ordered a couple sets of Oregon G5 Gatorblades for my Exmark ZTR. Been buying two sets every year for a decade. This set says “Made in Vietnam”. WTF?!!! All the blades I bought in previous years were made in the US. 😢

It does always amaze me how many years one can "try to miss" that stone in the field. (not always successful ;-)

And then, one day "It's GONE!"

Good on ya!

From the land of stone walls that were built just to get the stone out of the pasture!

Swung by Runnings, grabbed the 29 inch Cat 1 top link, a pound of triple 7, and a jug of bar and chain oil.

the top link was only $29! the oil was $8 /gal. But the triple 7 was SPENDY!

I bought a set of Forks a couple of weeks ago for the Stand On, thought they were Spreader, but the Hydraulics just move them side to side.

But I think they will still come in handy often

Quite often side-shift forks are handy, especially in warehouse pallet racks.

My purchase this week was having my rear tires filled with washer fluid and the tires set out 3" on each side.
Having the tires set out was mandatory. With them in the narrowest position prevented the tire guy from putting the liquid/air adapter on the stems.
That was $250. The young man (20) had to finish the 2nd wheel in the rain. After he left and before I could put my tractor in the garage it began raining so hard I couldn't see my mailbox down at the county road. Tomorrow I gotta make mud tracks up through the bottom field and put my box blade on and pull my driveway back up the hill.
At least I get to see how the loaded tires perform_.
