My Emglo compressor wasn't building up above 80 PSI - so took head off and found one reed valve broken - some pits in the cylinder head but walls were fine.

ZFZMZ Replace Reed Valve Valves STAINLESS Fits Compressor (2 pack) for $7.99

Runs like a champ now with new oil, pressure switch and 8$ for reed valves!

I think you will really like the Cummins

At the height of our horse hauling years we logged 200k miles a yr. I remember a '04 dodge cummings going through a fuel rail every 30k miles. Dodge blamed it on low sulfur fuel.

My 03 5.9 Cummins is closing in on 200K miles.

Still on stock fuel pump, injection pump, injectors and even brakes and shocks, the brake re do is in the que now.

Has needed a clutch slave hydraulic cylinder, turn signal switch, water pump 2 front axle U joints (family member left it in 4x4 on paved roads hauling a fully loaded 10K trailer) and a Dash cover, oil and filters.

It also gets the best MPG by far of everything we have other than the street bike and EV.


From reports the Newest Ford HD diesels are getting the best MPG -better than Cummins or the Duramax.

I would not own any CP4 injected diesel without a very long warranty.

I stand corrected. It was the 02 that ate fuel rails. Replaced by an 04 that was no problems.

I bought a set of Forks a couple of weeks ago for the Stand On, thought they were Spreader, but the Hydraulics just move them side to side.

But I think they will still come in handy often
