Hey Friends, first post here! Been dealing with some fuel issues on my compact New Holland TZ24DA. Initial issue was, operating for about 30 mins and just throttled down until it cut off, sounded starved for fuel. I have changed the fuel pump and both fuel filters. Initially I was not getting fuel to gravity feed directly out of the tank. Rinsed it out a bit and not have a stream coming out of the tank directly. When bypass the fuel surge tank and, go straight into the fuel filter (behind rear tire), the tractor cranks and runs fine. When I reconnect the fuel surge tank and pump fuel to fill the system (until I see fuel in the filter), the tractor will crank and run for a minute, until you can see the fuel level in the filter decrease until the tractor throttles down and cuts off. I removed the fuel surge tank (a small black box with three nipples - two for fuel lines, and the middle one is capped off) and blew through all holes and seems unobstucted. This thing seems to just be an empty reservoir (light weight, nothing rattling in there, not wires), why would it be causing problems? Again, when I bypass this thing and go staright to the filter, tractor starts and runs. Thanks in advance for any advice!
