Hydraulic lines

I just developed a pinhole leak on a hydraulic line on my KL 401 front loader. It’s the same one that went bad a couple years ago. At that time, Napa could make me a new one. But now I’ve driven around to four places and nobody has got the right fittings. Anybody know what these fittings are called. I figured I could shop on Amazon for some premade hoses. And also, how do they measure length. Is it end to end or is it the length of the black rubber tube. The hose in question is the one on the top of the picture. It measures 21 3/4 inches end to end. The black part of

the hose measures 17 inches.

Looks like a female pipe swivel (NPSM).

You need to look at a table of sizes and get out your caliper and thread gauge to see what size it is.

Unless that's a tiny girls hand in the picture, they look like 1/4" NPSM Female fittings on 1/4" hose. I have those. You can get them off Amazon. Might be worth buying the 10-count and keeping them on hand for future needs.

A shop may not make the hose even if you supply the fittings. It depends on the hose they stock and the system they use. If it's not on their chart, they're complete idiots. Take them with you and see if the fittings fit tight on their hose or don't fit at all.

Measure the threads and compare to this chart. I can make that hose if you pay for the materials and shipping*.

* $16.30 for materials. I might be able to get the hose assembly into a small USPS Flat Rate box. Those are $10.65. If you can get it cheaper than that, get it locally.

This takes a S DIN (swivel metric). If I had to guess, a 10mm tube.

I just had both rod end curl cylinder hoses fail on my 2011 DK35SE HST with a KL351 loader. I have the loader manual which shows the KL301 and KL401 parts.
I called my dealer and gave the part numbers. He said to bring the hoses in. They make them in their shop.

I thought that was strange but did get the hoses off with my neighbour's help. They were tight and needed bracing and hammering the wrench to loosen a couple of ends.
Took them to my dealer 30 minutes away and he made new ones in 15 minutes.

The manual showed lengths of 29" (right) and 25"(left).
It turns out they were both 25" or 27"(can't remember) from end to end of the fittings.

The dealer started making their own hoses because of the lead time and wrong lengths. The hoses are 3/8" and lengths shown in inches. It was a surprise to my neighbour who was a parts man for another large company here.

My dealer also said their hoses are much better than Kioti hoses. The ones they use have braided steel and are rated for 5,000 lbs. The Kioti ones just have one metal wire for reinforcement.

The 2011 Kioti KL401 also shows 3/8" x 25" and 3/8" x 29" for the two hoses but different part numbers. I can see from the diagram that the right hose is plumbed differently than shown on the parts diagram.

I can't remember what the spec was for the fittings, but the dealer knew as soon as he saw them.

If feasible it might be best to just take the hoses into a good ag or other equipment dealer.
