2022 Bronco sport review

Lots of experts posting here who have not owned or driven the modern bronco?
Well hopefully we own one tomorrow. Going to look at a Badlands at the dealer and take for a drive.
It's a new 2024, which I prefer over the 25 because it doesn't have the full digital dash. And it has the ebony roast two tone interior.
I see they even have a full size Pirelli spare too.

White wasn't my first choice but this is only one in stock with all the options I want.

Loved my "mini" Bronco, a 1973 model. Wish I had kept it - worth a lot of $$ today! More comfortable, more roomy, AND more dependable than the Jeeps I owned later.

I had a "73 as well, put a 302 .090 over, it was a beast. I too, wish I never sold it. Went where many Jeeps couldn't/wouldn't.

Nice! I like white vehicles in general and the brown interior looks good with it. My only regret on my white F350 is that I sometimes wish I had gotten the tan interior instead of gray.

I bought a '25 Badlands in May, one of my bucket list items. We've had many Broncos over the years, '67, '74,'78, '88 and '92. So far I'm very satisfied with the '25.

Those are both beautiful! Ford has the best truck colors.

My Dad would lock in his hubs around the first of November with the first snowfall, and unlock them in April. But he did shift the transfer case in and out of 4wd as needed. I sure wish today's trucks still had the manual locking hubs and a manual transfer case lever on the floor. Too many people I know have had trouble with the "automatic" locking hubs and the dial on the dash that is supposed to shift the transfer case.
If I remember correctly, I had a problem with those auto hubs back in the day. Nosed the 93 Bronco down in a ditch and the hubs wouldn't engage. I had to get pulled out. It was worthless on my hill on our property in the snow, spinning one front and one rear wheel.

I was used to the 71 Bronco and the 93 couldn't hold a candle to the old one.

The "autolock" hubs haven't improved through the years. I notice on the off-road recovery YouTube channels they sometimes have to recover a newer 4wd pickup with the autolock hubs that refuse to engage so the truck is just a 2wd. Never understood the need for autolock hubs - what is so difficult about manually locking the hubs if you even think you might need them?
So you don't get your shoes muddy. ;)

My experience was a little different. I went out in my 73 and my buddy was in a CJ. He was tiptoeing across the muddy field, barely getting muddy. I was ripping up the field throwing mud everywhere including on top of the Bronco. I must have been funny to watch.
