Ground hornets! [emoji2962]

No need to light, with gasoline. In fact, it probably works better if you don't light it, as it's the heavier-than-air fumes that do the killing... essentially suffocating them.

I guess that lighting it off after they're all dead the next day can be bonus fun, but I'm usually curious to dig it out and see how big it was.

Yeah I won't be lighting anything. My natural gas meter is 6 feet away. 😁

Don’t EVER confuse and call nasty useless yellow jackets.. “bees”.

They are NOT bees

But lighting the hole is more fun. I do this also for big ant mounds.

My Dad swore gasoline was the best way to get rid of moles and gophers.

Seven dust works also but it takes a few days. I've dumped about 1/2 cup right on top of the hole during the day using a long stick (6-8') with yogurt container screwed to it. Dump and walk away. They will crawl trough the dust brining it into the hive and after a few days their are all dead.

Let us know how the gasoline works, it may be much quicker, good luck.
Overnight pretty much. Fumes.
