I am looking for an external set that resembles this internal pair.
Due to clearance issues I need the 90degree bend and the extra long nose. Everybody sells this style in internal but no one it seems has an external variety.
Hopefully someone can help me find what I need.

You might check the tool trucks you see at various businesses. I know they are expensive on their tools but I found what I needed years ago on a tool truck that came to my work place.

I invested in this 3 plier set from Lang Tools years ago. It cover such a wide variety of applications saves time/money. Each size plier has full set of tips that are interchangeable and each plier switches from internal to external. Has pretty much solved any situation I’ve been in. They also sell replacement tips. Check out their site, they have many more versions.

My dad had an old set with removable tips, all different kinds of tips. Never knew where those went when i settled the estate. My brother probably stole them. Real heavy duty set too.

I've tried several times using ones with removable tips and they are all too light duty and are wasting space in my junk drawer. Buy once, cry once.

When I had to do some work on a mini-ex, I bought a set of Knipex snap ring pliers. They're a little pricey, but built to last, and guaranteed.

Try Harbor Freight Tools. They have a couple choices.

MAC Tools must have offered a set at one time or another, as I have a large drawer full of all kinds of snap ring pliers, mostly MAC. The toolbox was owned by a friends Dad who owned a semi truck transmission and rear end shop. I have never needed a set of snap ring pliers that something in that drawer wouldn't fit!
