Tractor Supply Cat 1 Quick Hitch cheap!

For the additional $20 this is a better buy compared to HF's version. Note how its hook is outside the uprights where the bolts are. HF is still selling QH's where the hook opening is flush with those uprights - interfering with nearly anything you want to mount.

I finally added a Speeco offset hook to make my HF QH more usable.

At least my HF one came with the extra piece that allowed me to not use the hook.

I don't think a single implement of mine would work with the upper hook, and I don't mind having one pin to insert and remove.

If I remember correctly, I had to do some modification on that top hook to get it to work for my stuff too. Still, for the money, I didn't mind hacking on it a little.

Just ordered mine. Can't beat the price for a Cat I. I hope it's as good as the Speeco E-Hitch (per its reputation). Reviews were strong, though more than a few said some or all of the connections were too thick or off by 1/4". Crossing my fingers.

How are you liking it? I've got Pat's and while I like them well enough I still have to get off to unhook the hydraulic top-link, a rather heavy piece of work. A standard quick-hitch would stay attached to it, and that ought to be nice.

I, for now, have no PTO implements and so that wouldn't be a problem.

So far so good. I only have 2 attachments - an old beat up used brush hog, brand unknown, and a Titan land plane.

I used it for the brush hog and the two lower arms linked up perfect with no bushings. The top link on the brush hog doesn't line up but it's close enough that I was able to just use a chain to connect the top link, which is probably better anyway. Had the brush hog connected in seconds with what used to take a few minutes. Connecting the PTO was a little bit more difficult due to having the QH kind of in the way, but still quicker and easier connecting than before.

I haven't tried it on the land plane yet. That will be the test because the land plane should be QH compatible. I've also seen Youtube videos where folks would trim the top hook on the QH to make a wider opening in the hook. I'm not sure if that's necessary but the land plane should tell me that when I'm ready.

Using pins instead of bolts will help with that some.

Perhaps, but there are a couple on implements where the hook just wouldn't fit, unless I machine it down quite a bit. And that still wouldn't help with the different heights.

So I use the link that came with the HF version, which solves that issue and is still quite quick to hook up being just one pin.

Most of mine are that way, I have used the hook upside down for some of them and yes pins instead of bolts makes that faster.

As long as the latches at the bottom are working it can't come off but some just make another link and leave it on the implement.
