Backhoe BL4690B Backhoe Mast Set-Up for B7800HSD Tractor

I recently purchased a BL4690B Backhoe and B7800HSD Tractor from my local dealer.

Reviewing the Kubota Operator's manual for the BL4690B, the dealer has set up the mast assembly as though the tractor is a B2910HSD with a 3-hole receiver at the top of the 3-point hitch (set-up is shown on page 30 of the BL4690B operator's manual).

The B7800 has a 2-hole receiver, similar to the B2710HSD set-up shown on page 29 of the operator's manual.

Should the dealer have set up the BL4690B mast for the B7800HSD similar to the B2710HSD, or similar to the B2910HSD?

I don't know the answer. I would have guessed that it should be set up the same as the B2910HSD that I have. The B7800 is often referred to as the B2910 without the extras...

Anyway, I will post a few pictures of how BL4690A mounts on my B2910. Make sure the dealer has inclueded the longer "subframe" brackets on the bottom sides of the tractor, and the heavy duty top link bracket.

Hope these pictures help in one way or the other. I am puzzled why the B2710 and B2910 would be considered different. I always thought that except for the engine size, they were identical... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Just a side thought...but I never checked the manual and just assumed that my dealer got it right...

I really don't know if he did or not, but I have not had any reason to suspect this is not the right way to do it, after almost three years and a fair amount of use... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Because the B7800 does not have the telescopic lower link ends. It should be setup like the B2710. My B2910 is set the same a Henro's is.
While we are talking about the Top Link. I will add a reminder to all about making sure your tractor has the Heavy Duty Top Link Bracket installed. See page 25 & 26 in BH manual. Here is a link to a thread on this subject. Click Here

Picks are a big help. I have a BL4690B Backhoe and B7800HSD. Just got the backhoe, it was on a L series and I need to cut it down to fit a B series.
It would be a big help if you could give me the measurement from the Center of the Blot on the backhoe to the center of the pin where it connects to the tractor.
Your second pick shows it.
