I use it for the ZT while mowing and for chainsaw work. I have become much more aware of noise that could be damaging to hearing after getting the Apple Watch that monitors exposure to noise. Have several other standard ones that I use around the shop. Impact wrenches put out surprising high levels of noise

I wear noise canceling headphones for mowing, using chipper, table saw and other noisy equipment. But never while driving car.

I can understand the concern over wearing while driving.
I have to wear them driving the rv or tinnitus would be unbearable.
I do not listen to music, only use the noise cancelling function which gets rid of steady state noise, not varying noise. So I have found them ok to hear sirens. Now if I had music blasting, I'm sure not, and hearing is an important tool in driving.

I've had several inexpensive ones, use them for mowing the lawn. But treated myself to a better Bose unit, their basic one, which simply has better noise cancelling.
what drives me nuts is for the first five minutes the software inside keeps asking me to pair or pairing is ready or something, just keeps badgering me to do something I have zero interest in. After about five minutes it finally shuts up. Sure would like to defeat that process.

the noise cancelling gets rid of the constant drone/hiss of the tires and likely some wind noise. Usually it's rotational noise that fires up my tinnitus.

realized I have another Gulfstream motorhome next to me, their big class A diesel pusher. Don't see many of them, will go over and chat with the older owner.

69 outside, lower 70's expected. Someone said rain yesterday for today? Have not seen it. Yet. Need to catch up on the weather, and other things.

Mowed grasses for much of the day yesterday. It was very, very dry. Dusty dry. Turning into the breeze was not fun. Managed to take the ZTR over the drainage ditches....it has been that dry.

Since that got done and there was still daylight....got the windows cleaned and reinstalled on the hot tub side of the barn. Wife is happy. Used five (5) gallons of stain though....the barn drank it up. Only have three more sides to go. Need to get the man lift operational though for the front and back. Maybe a next year project. It will require more than a few days to do the rest of they barn. Anyway, the important areas are done.

Will see what today brings. Real job stuff is slowly shutting down. Sad.

Morning all, 67 to 70 and raining.
Much needed rain is welcome.
Dog had her bath, did not get much accomplished otherwise.

I have my 3M worktunes, use BT connected to phone, no music though.

The fuel cuttoff came for the lawn tractor, so tonight I will look how to add that in line and for placement. Probably change the fuel filter too.

Apple tree looking good, picked another pound or so of figs. Might leave the rest to the birds, most of which seem to have headed south already.

Good Morning
Almost 60° now, high might make it to 70. Got an inch of rain this morning, that’s probably all for the day. When Zoe went out this morning, she came back in soaked.

Yesterday’s breakfast was good, we identified many of the world’s problems, and solved none.
After that it was mostly in the shop, made some progress on various fronts. Didn’t get around to the mowing, maybe today if it dries out. The ground was parched, so the rain should soak right in.

I’ve got another TIG project for my mechanical contractor buddy, need to make some wall brackets to mount a fire pump out of aluminum. Waiting for the material for that now.

Today I’ve got to prep 30lbs of pork shoulder for the smoker, I’m feeding the local VFD at their meeting tomorrow evening. I’ll fire the smoker up tonight after I get home from the Airport Authority meeting. That timing should work out pretty well, it will come out early Thursday afternoon, I can shred it and put the trays in the Cambro, it should stay warm and be ready for their dinner with no additional heat.

I use Bose noise canceling headphones for mowing on the Lazer or string trimming. I do stream music to them, but I can still hear the machinery talk to me.
The tractor has a stereo in the cab, I stream music in there as well, but no headphones.

Speaking of tankers, Scott can attest to this, you may have a 50 year safe driving record with zero tickets and accidents. Get into a half loaded tanker and be prepared to learn how to drive all over again. Good tanker drivers will separate the men from the boys. Poor tanker drivers end up in the ditch on their sides.

Ct, 52 to start going to 69. Rain started in the wee hours and it’s still raining, but looks like some clearing this afternoon.

I can’t see how they can take away credit of over 2200 of my posts. I won’t lose sleep over it or get my panties in a wad, but that seems just wrong !!!! Does that mean that on the other forums , that if your post isn’t meaningful enough with some useless drivel that they will take your post count away ?? I doubt it !
